Egg fertility/ovulation question

Is it true that ovulation is occurring exactly when thin, slippery CM is at its most abundant? Could ovulation occur up to 6 days after this heavy, clear CM period?

Is it possible for an egg to remain fertile for more than 24 hours?

My cycles are very regular, and I always get this ovulation symptom right on time (day 13-14 of a 28 day cycle). I had unprotected sex on day 20 of my cycle and now, two days later, am having this irregular spotting that matches the description of implantation bleeding exactly...

Don't know about the egg but mid cycle spotting statistically speaking means pregnancy is less likely not more. Hope you're lucky anyway and don't mean to be a downer but there is a myth on here that spotting is a promising sign and the opposite is true.

Thin and slippery CM is a good sign of ovulation and means you're in the fertile 'window' which is a couple of days before ovulation and day of. The only way to be certain is to use a reliable opk.

I think 24 hours is about the max time an egg is viable which is why most fertility specialists advise you to have sex day before ovulation so the swimmers are ready and waiting when the egg is release.

Ovulation date can vary from one month to the next but even if you ovulated late this month, implantation occurs from 5/6 dpo so I think it's too early to be that.
