Fertility monitors/tests

Hi all. Implant due to come out on 25th march which means we will start ttc around September. What can anyone suggest for fertility plotting? I've been on contraception for 10 years so no idea what my cycle will be like!!

I had my implant out on 1st June 2012. DS came in March '13. No plotting required!

I'd just observe your cycle for a while and get back in touch. Enjoy sex without too much of an agenda and wait and see.

I would give it at least 3, preferably six months, for your cycle to resume a regular pattern. Make a note of when your period happens, there are phone apps to help you with this. During that time aim to have sex three times a week. Observe your cervical mucus and read up on the internet about how that can tell you if you are in your fertile window or not.
If you are not already pregnant after six months of sex three times a week, I personally found the clearblue fertility monitor very helpful. Clear blue recommend that you have three natural cycles before you use it.

Thanks!! I think I'm just worrying it may not be plain sailing getting pregnant. Dh doesn't want to ttc until he has a more permanent job but I'm excited to get my periods back and body back to normal!!! Does it hurt having implant removed?

not at all. It's done under local anaesthetic.
