TTC number 2, DS is 5. DH is in the navy so it's pretty slapdash at the minute but about 17 months with a 6 month gap in the middle. My cycle is usually pretty regular and I don't think DH was home at the right time to conceive but I'm 3 days late, I don't have any pmt type symptoms but I don't feel pregnant either. I have a test but I'm reluctant to do it because I don't want to be disappointed it it's negative. Can someone talk to me about being patient and just see what happens

Honestly, it's best to wait until you're 7-10 days late. 3 days late isn't much, IME.

Thanks, my rational brain knows that but my emotional brain is screeching 'hooray we're pregnant' it's hard to keep prospective.

Last month, I didn't have a period. I spent weeks convincing myself I was pregnant. Lots of BFN results and my period came bang on time this month. I'm sure it's my body's version of a joke!

I tend o get stick into researching something to occupy myself. Holidays, weekend breaks, a new career. Works or me.

I know how you both feel, too. Nature is cruel and it feels sometimes like all your late periods come when you're trying to get pregnant. I've done many tests when just a few days late and it's just so tremendously disappointing to see negative after negative, month after month.

If you can wait it out, it's more likely to be the result you want to see x

Although I'm testing again in a few days to see if I get a darker line, the Mumsnet and NHS due date calculators for me said due date 1st November based on last AF and ov date. We will probably straddle both months!

I once took a test when I was half a day late rolls eyes... I got my period during the 3 minute wait...
