Sperm donation from known donors

Hi everyone,
I am contemplating having a baby via sperm donation, and would prefer to have a known donor. There are some websites but it is unclear if they are safe, and would really love to go on some recommendations?

Also if anyone has done this and can talk about their experiences would be super helpful.

Thanks!

Hello there
I just googled 'known donor' as I'm having my own dilemmas… And found your post…I opted for a known donor but am regretting it.

Happy to talk about my experience.
Am awaiting some legal advice as it's a worryingly grey area.

Where did you get to since it's been 6 weeks since your post?

Hi
Sorry to hear that, have you had much help with the legal advice since then?

I am in early stages of thinking about it so will be a while, but can see how it could be difficult with the legal aspect....

My husband and I are going with a known donor-father. We'll likely be having a child with his old friend, but we're also looking at other candidates. We use co-parentmatch and coparents.co.uk quite a lot, as well as a few, much smaller, sites.
