Anything from 1 month to never. Sorry OP, but what a silly question!

BikeRunSki · 16/02/2014 20:33

For some people it can be first cycle; for others it never happens. I'd say an average amongst my friends us around 5 months, but there are many, many factors that affect this.

How long is a piece of string?

Maybe you need to do a bit of research into this.

SoonToBeSix · 16/02/2014 20:35

If no fertility problems 6 -12 months is average

PenguinsEatSpinach · 16/02/2014 20:35

From 0 months (ie contraception failure) to never.

But lesa than a year is considered normal in terms of further investigation in younger age groups.

I don't know because I'm new to this site and I don't have any children myself I know it can take a long time or it can happen quickly just wanted to know everyone else experiences and timing thankyou x

But you asked how long it takes, you didn't ask people how long it took them. Tbh, either would be a very silly question as this site will give the same wide range from 1 shag through to never or not yet even after 10 or so yrs of trying.

Depending upon your age, if you're both healthy without fertility problems and are having regular unprotected sex you are likely to fall pregnant within 6mths of stopping the pill. But this is a big generalisation.

2.5 minutes

eurochick · 16/02/2014 20:44

Somewhere between one shag and never, as another poster said!

Skiingmaniac · 16/02/2014 20:44

13 months with my first and one night with my second!

Already answered the question on your other thread.

You might find it useful to have a browse on the conception section of the nhs website, there is also a section here on mumsnet.
