I have just miscarried after my first much wanted pregnancy. Looking for advice and support and success stories of people who miscarried like i did and went on to have children. Feel so vulnerable at the moment.

Hi,
Mumsnet is the best place to be for advice and support you need after having a miscarriage. I have had two miscarriages and two successful pregnancies. The first was an early miscarriage at around 6- 8 weeks, I then went onto have a normal pregnancy with my son who is now 4.
Last year I had another miscarriage at 17 weeks, I concieved two months later and my second son is now 13 weeks old

Good luck

You poor love. It's a terrible, terrible feeling, isn't it? And being told how common it is doesn't really make it any better. I did find when i was going through it that success stories did help though.

So... I had 3 early m/cs before falling pregnant with DS, who is now 13 months. And having one m/c does not mean that you're likely to m/c next time. In fact, even after 3, you're still statistically more likely to have a baby than a m/c. I found that statistic to be very comforting in my darker days.

Thank you. having hope is getting me through.
Cori M/c at 17 weeks is so horrible you are a real inspiration! Makes me glad i lost mone earlier rather than later, less time to make plans etc.
Thank you so much for your encouraging words!

Corrie, i like to be informed so read up on lots of things i find the advice i get contradicting sometimes and it confuses me. So nice to hear my chances of carrying a baby to full term are still just as good. And you had three, were they consecutive? Now you've got two boys.. it really lifts my heart and i hope that i am as lucky.
