Which pregnancy tests?

I'm hoping someone will be able to give me advice on pregnancy tests, I have no idea which ones to get and I've read some reviews on amazon and been even more confused after it! Should I get first response, clear blue digital, internet cheapies or something else?

I'm currently in my 2ww and it's killing me, this month I have convinced myself I'm Pregnant, not due on until Friday though so fighting the urge to test early. I'm currently feeling very queasy and sense of taste and smell have gone funny so I've got everything crossed!

I used internet cheapies to test from 7dpo.
When I got a possible positive on one of those I used a First Response to double check. When I got a positive on my First Response I then re-tested with a CB Digi for total, total conformation

I have 4 kidlets and have had all my bfps on superdrug tests (often on offer) 3 or 4 days before period due. This is probably just my superstition - they can't be magic (!)- but I had negs on other brands once or twice on same day as pos on superdrug ones...

Haven't tried internet ones, so can't comment - but lots of people really rate them! Hang in there, 2ww is a nightmare!

Internet cheapies are not only good value but perfectly reliable. In fact they're more sensitive than Clearblue Digital for example and will cost you a tiny fraction of the price. So a couple of quid for 20 tests from amazon/ebay or £12.99 or whatever extortionate price they are now for a less sensitive test wrapped in a lot of superfluous plastic.

I read on here so many times 'why don't you get x test to 'confirm'?' There's nothing to confirm. All of the tests measure whether you're producing hcg. No point throwing your money away when you already have the answer.

Thanks everyone, I think I will order those ones off the internet as I've a feeling I won't be able to fight the urge to test early and a lot so makes financial sense! We are on cycle 6 and this has been the worst 2ww yet, I've never had any symptoms on our other cycles and because I have this time it's making it so much harder to not get carried away with excitement.

I like the internet ones. You can pee on them with abandon and they are perfectly accurate.

My advice would be to not spend any money and then wait until you have missed your period by a couple of days, then it won't matter what brand you buy - you can even get them from the poundshop.

I'm going into my 9th cycle of ttc, so I know the torture of the 2ww, but early testing is just as torturous because unless you get a positive you still convince yourself it's too early to test etc. In my opinion it all adds to the 'what if' game we play.
