When to test after an 'implantation bleed?'

Periods are all over the place at the minute, since coming off the pill in September (was on Depo Provera for about 18 months prior to that). By my reckoning, I should be somewhere around the middle of my cycle now. For the last 2 days, I've been having some light bleeding, mostly dark brown with some that's a bit brighter red, like the end of a period. I'm thinking it's either an implantation bleed, or else I've got my cycle completely wrong, and it is just a very light period.
My question is, how long should I wait before taking a pregnancy test? A few days? A fortnight? Longer?

Apologies for being a bit garbled, prior to having my son my cycle was always a very regular 28 days, even as a young teen, so all the uncertainty is confusing me!

The longer you wait, the more acurate the test will be.
They make tests now that can detect pregnancy four days (I believe) before a missed period, but they're only about 70% effective.
If you can hold off until the actual day your period was supposed to start, you'll get a more accurate read, and save some money on tests.
Remember, if you're pregnant, you're pregnant. It's not going anywhere, regardless of when you confirm it. And if you're not, testing won't change that outcome, either.

It seems like your body is still adjusting to coming off the pill.
I would wait until your next AF due date. So roughly a month from your last period (as you knew it).
I wouldn't text earlier than this as it will be a waste of money and an emotional strain.
