Can anyone help me understand my FSH & LH levels please?

Previous history of PCOS, assisted concept with DC1 using clomid due to not ovulating.
AF usually appears every 60/70 days, but has been absent for 120 days (left behind all the wonderful pmt symptoms though )
I had a blood test done the other week and my levels are FSH 4.1 & LH 3.9.
The doctor has said thats all normal and doesnt need to see me again, does this sound right?

When was this blood test carried out?. LH and FSH levels are usually tested on or around day 2 (if the cycle is irregular the test can be done according to calendar days). If the test was done on a different day it needs to be redone.

PCOS also is something that does not go away of its own accord.

Think GP is missing something here and is well out of his/her depth. If GP is clueless or is unhelpful I would see another person within the practice.

Also this person should note that you needed help last time in order to conceive, does this person also not think that such a long cycle warrants further investigation anyway?.

Test was done a week ago so 112 days since the end of my last period. I'm waiting on a referral to gyne so hopefully I'll get more answers then, I would love to just get rid of this horrible achy constant pmt feeling, even if it means taking medication to start a false period.

If the test was not carried out on the 2nd of the month, then the test result is meaningless.

I am glad you now have a referral to a gynae; you need specialist advice now.
