Clear blue ov sticks - no smiley

Does anyone know why i'm not getting a smiley on my clear blue but the little sticks ive got from amazon have 2 lines!

is the line on the left darker than the right one on the cheap test?

I had this with a pack of those. The 'no smiley' is now a 37 week bump so I wouldn't say they work terribly well based on my experience.
