Embryo donation abroad

Our next step is likely to be embryo donation. Prices in the UK seem steep compared to overseas costs. A lot of overseas (European) clinics seem very geared up towards UK couples. So are the worth it?

Please give me your experiences of embryo donation abroad (or in the uk) - good and bad. If you don't want to give the name of the clinic on here feel free to pm me. The information online is overwhelming and I need proper reviews, not just the ones the clinics choose to put up.

Is it as convenient as they make out? Do you need many appointments with a 'sister' clinic in the uk? Are there hidden costs that you weren't made aware of up front? Are you treated with dignity or is it a conveyor belt? How many goes did you need before you were successful (or before you decided to stop using the clinic)?
