Hi, I'm guessing I'm now in the 2WW as had positive OPK yesterday and the day before. Is there anybody that has their BFP due around the 20th and that has just started their 2WW.

Would be great to talk to stop ourselves going bonkers! What have you done this month to ttc? Anything different?

I have used OPKs and have followed the smep plan. Also drinking pineapple juice which apparently makes you produce more Ewcm and I'm taking pregnacare.

X

Some good news squeaky! Hope there are a few more girls. :). Are we going to set up a new thread next month? I'm unsure what if anything I should do differently next month. Just way more sex and try not to give hubby a heart attack lol

impatienceisavirtue · 15/02/2014 14:05

Congrats squeaky!!!!

I totally caved and did a cheapie this morning. Negative, obviously, as I'm only 7dpo ha ha..

maeanne · 15/02/2014 16:00

So pleased for you squeaky, congratulations! Grin

Sorry for your news bobo and Yorkshire. x

Cineraria · 15/02/2014 16:02

It's great you got it confirmed today Squeaky. You must be feeling much happier now. How did Mr Squeaky react when you told him?

Sorry to hear your news Bobo, let's hope SMEP makes next month the lucky one. Glad to hear the others taking tests today aren't downhearted. Let's hope the next ones are positive? How is it going holding out until Monday Sleepingstarsmommy? Must be hard.

I'm feeling yucky today but trying to put it down to a bug rather than being some kind of symptom, so I don't get overexcited and test early. Not sure how long that will work though!

mylittlesunshine · 15/02/2014 18:57

Congratulations squeaky!! Great news.

I got another bfn today so that's it not doing another can't take it anymore. Will just wait for AF to arrive now and try again for next month

Sleepingstarsmommy · 15/02/2014 20:50

I haven't managed to hold out until Monday. POAS this morning and got a bfn. Not even kidding myself that I will hold out until next week now. Will be testing everyday at least once until BFP or AF.

DH has told me not to test until next Fri when AF is due as he doesn't want me to be upset. My consultant has said that I am to start on asprin as soon as I get a BFP so I want to know ASAP so I can start the appropriate treatment and monitoring. He says that a few days won't hurt but I am absolutely and crazily neurotic slightly anxious given my four previous losses that I just want to know as early as possible. Know DH is right when he tells me to just relax but easier said than done.

On the topic of symptom spotting - had to grab DH arm in a restaurant earlier when I came over all dizzy. Boobs are slightly tender probably from me poking them just to see and irritability but they might just be pmt.

Longlive2014 · 15/02/2014 20:53

Fab news squeaky!!! I hope my body copies yours like it did last month :) I tested today, thought I saw a faint line, only superdrug standard one though, need a first response! And I chucked it instead of driving myself mad!
Hope it's a sticky xx

Bobo13 · 15/02/2014 21:10

Thanks maeanne and cineraria! DH will not know what's hit him next month! lol!!
Drewswife we should set up a new thread for next month xx

Cineraria · 15/02/2014 21:15

Oh Sleepingstarsmommy so sorry to hear about your previous pregnancies. No wonder you want to know as soon as possible so you can start the treatment. How does the aspirin help? I have heard people mention it but wasn't sure what it does.

Sleepingstarsmommy · 15/02/2014 23:05

Cineraria A common cause of recurrent miscarriages and still births is a condition called antiphodolipid syndrome aka sticky blood. Asprin and sometime injections of heparin are used to stop the blood being sticky. I've tested negative for this but apparently the tests aren't fantastic and considering my losses at 8, 9, 11 and 22 weeks my consultant wants to air on the side of caution. Side effect of asprin is bleeding which obviously is scary in pregnancy even without my history so I'll be getting regular scans from 7 weeks to monitor progress and reassure me. Also wants me to use progesterone pessaries from 9 weeks incase it's just my overexcited uterus contracting to readily and well causing the losses. Just need to get upduffed again first to put all these plans into action.

daheedsgirl · 15/02/2014 23:58

Hi I'm new to forums, I hope you don't mind me joining?
I am on my first attempt at using clear blue opk. I had my solid smiley face Tuesday before last and af due on 19th. Had a funny stretching feeling about 4dpo but think I'm looking for anything different! Blobs sore but nothing unusal. Been casually trying for a while however this is the first time we've really timed things. Don't want to get any hopes up symptom spotting. Trying to wait till Tuesday before testing x

Zermatt · 16/02/2014 06:39

Welcome daheedsgirl and good luck!

yorkshirelass82 · 16/02/2014 10:37

Hi deheedsgirl :) I'm testing (again!) on Tuesday too. Good luck.

Cineraria · 16/02/2014 13:00

It's good to hear your consultant has such a clear plan to look after you and reassure you throughout your pregnancy as soon as it happens Sleepingstarsmommy. It must take a lot of courage to try again in that situation. Hope it's your month for a BFP!

Hi Daheedsgirl, well done on waiting two weeks to test after your positive OPK. I'm supposed to test Friday but tempted to try on Tuesday. The thing is I don't know how sensitive the tests I have are. I bought a pack of 30 OPKs online and they came with 10 pregnancy tests but not labelled to show sensitivity or even how long you leave them! I'm guessing they won't be very sensitive as they would mention it otherwise.

impatienceisavirtue · 16/02/2014 13:19

Welcome daheedsgirl!

Not getting my hopes up. I'm not, honest. Really not....

Did an EC again this morning.

And I swear there is a faint line there. I though I was imagining it and laughed to DH that I was imagining it except he can see one too. I know it could be an evap, and probably is. I did an OPK as well (yes, POAS obsessed) and that is rising - there was nothing on one at all yesterday and it's much stronger today.

My boobs are absolutely killing as well and somewhat, er, inflated. I swore after last month that I was going to ignore them as they clearly lied to me last month.

Trying to be sensible....I know it's probably evap or something...but eeek!

maeanne · 16/02/2014 16:11

Eek! Fingers crossed, impatience! I would test again in the morning. When is/was af due?

Squeakybeaky · 16/02/2014 16:33

Fingerscrossed for you impatience. Did it come up in the time frame?

OP posts:
Cineraria · 16/02/2014 18:48

How exciting impatienceisavirtue. Hope you get a stronger one tomorrow. Hearing everyone's good news is certainly passing the time during the 2ww!

impatienceisavirtue · 17/02/2014 09:51

Thanks everyone!

What an idiot.

I woke up late this morning, so was in a rush to get ready for work. Go to test and managed to knock over the, er, sample for testing Blush Blush Blush

So have to try again tomorrow 

Yep, it was within the time frame yesterday that the faint line showed was VERY faint though. I am not even due until 22nd, ha so was very shocked to see anything and am trying very very hard not to get my hopes up only to be crushed again. Boobs are VERY sore though which is a good thing, but they lied to me last month!

Adp007 · 17/02/2014 09:57

Hi everyone ttc #2 tried for 8 months before caving in and buying a clearblue fertility monitor. This is the second month of it and hoping for bfp on 20th. (If AF doesn't get me first) good luck everybody xx

Sleepingstarsmommy · 17/02/2014 10:29

BFN this morning but only 9dpo. Symptom spotting continues with back ache and nausea this morning which is probably due to incredibly bad eating over the weekend

maeanne · 17/02/2014 11:19

Another BFN for me this morning. I briefly thought I could see a very very very faint line but think it was just my blury eyes and wishful thinking as I can't see anything now. I'm 13-14dpo today, af due Wednesday so I won't test again now unless it's late. I feel like I always do when due on though, so I don't think this will be our month. Sad

maeanne · 17/02/2014 11:20

P.S. how frustrating, Impatience! Sounds like something I would do! Hope you have morw luck testing again tomorrow!

Longlive2014 · 17/02/2014 11:25

BFP this morning!! I used two opks and got lines on them, and then did a superdrug test and that's got a pink line, but light! But definately there, other half saw it too and normally he dismissing faint lines lol, so it's definately there haha.
I'm due 20th for my period btw.

EmilyPinkOrBlue · 17/02/2014 11:32

Congratulates longlive!! :)
