Hi everyone, I'm taking a plunge and starting our folicking March bus off to a start.

lindamagoo · 25/02/2014 09:27

Hahaha, well atleast he's offered, all I get is "again? really?" And we are only on cycle 1, lol...

mama31 · 25/02/2014 09:31

Ladies I am leaving it alone but have been putting a tampon in so I can tell what the spotting situation is. That would be ok wouldn't it?

English haha! Do you not know me by now....of course I've been poas from 7dpo (6dpo) every day (twice a day)!!! bfn's of course! (grey evaps as always on IC's)

Choccy wow! Your DH sounds just like mine! He always has a romantic gesture for dtd haha! Oh well it's a good offer....and no doubt you will oblige ;) are you ovulating now?

RetroHippy · 25/02/2014 09:31

We had a row about it las night when I pointed out that pcos or no pcos, we're not going to get pg unless we actuall have sex!

Cue tears and still no sexy time. Angry

Cycle 4, this isn't promising if it takes much longer!

mama31 · 25/02/2014 09:43

Retro sorry to hear that! I'm sure it's frustrating. Maybe your DH will come round after the row and will be prepared to dtd. It's difficult, this process causes so much stress and pressure! Hope your ok.

Starbright24 · 25/02/2014 09:49

Upside down cycling? Softcups? I see there is more I need to know.
Spinningirl - so good to know you're on same day. Same as me too. Dtd night before ovulation and not more before or since ( dp with bad back and not quite as obsessive as me in ttc) but still hopeful

RetroHippy · 25/02/2014 09:55

Thanks -mama, it's tough because I've no idea when, or even if, I'm ovulating so we should be DTD every other day. We didn't last night, he goes to the gym late on a Tuesday then out with the guys (weekly man ritual), so chances are we won't DTD tonight either...

He says he feels like that's the only reason we're doing it. I want scream 'exactly!' It's not like he's peeing on sticks, taking his temps daily, checking his cervix and having blood tests. All he has to do is at least seem a little enthusiastic about doing something one would hope he quite enjoys anyway! Angry

And breathe...

Watching your situation with anticipation! 5 days till AF/bfp Grin

Starbright24 · 25/02/2014 09:58

Going to watch recorded obem now. Couldn't persuade dp to watch it last night so recorded it. Never seen it before. Sounds like I might get emotional.
Big hugs Retro - I end up in tears most months but I'm sure we'll get the bfp soon.

lindamagoo · 25/02/2014 10:01

Ladies have any of you considered self-insemination? It takes a lot of pressure off of both partners when dtd all the time gets a bit much...

RetroHippy · 25/02/2014 10:02

It's such an emotional roller coaster isn't it?! I usually get teary/grumpy with pms, but now I seem to cry any time. It's not helping waiting for the results of these blood tests and not being sure really what I want them to find.

I'm saving OBEM for tonight while DH is out so I can bawl my eyes out after Row part 2

RetroHippy · 25/02/2014 10:04

linda, I see your point, but I think for DH it would be worse... Like he wasn't really part of it. If the 'discussion' gets lighthearted I'll suggest it and gauge his response.

lindamagoo · 25/02/2014 10:13

Just an idea if it all gets too much, we tried it with ds2 and as soon as I mentioned it last night my oh was well chuffed, lol, it is a bit strange when you first do it, the thought of potentially getting yourself pregnant, but it took a lot of pressure off of us and stopped us arguing so much

cth1982 · 25/02/2014 10:19

Hey Retro,

I know exactly where you are coming from - I have PCOS and now we are actively ttc I am doing the whole temperature taking, CM checking bits and bobs hoping that I am actually ovulating.

Still have those worried moments of what if I'm really broken and can never get pregnant and that maybe I have left it too late etc. but this is Cycle 3 (and the first I am properly monitoring) so I hope it is good news ovulation wise!

Hopefully a BFP is round the corner for us both!

RetroHippy · 25/02/2014 10:30

cth1982, I've just had the first blood tests as my cycle is stupidly irregular, and was before I went on the pill (it was part of the reason I went on the pill at 19). I get the results back at the end of the week. I also have pretty greasy, spotty skin, but no other symptoms particularly.

I know exactly what you mean by 'broken'. If I had a 'normal' cycle then I wouldn't be stressing ok, maybe a bit! but I'm really worrying that it's going to take months and months even if we do everything we can, so him not being on board really isn't helping.

mama31 · 25/02/2014 10:37

Linda, self insemination? How does this work? (not that I need it as DH seems to have a permanent erection!) I'm intrigued though! Love the no boundaries on here!

mama31 · 25/02/2014 10:39

Retro perhaps some reverse psychology....act like you don't want it and are not interested...men are fickle at times, they like a challenge ;) I know what you mean though you are afraid of missing an opportunity. Hope he comes round for you.

mama31 · 25/02/2014 10:40

Maybe that's why my DH has a permanent erection....he thinks I'm being a challenge....but I'm not I'm just exhausted and have no where near the same sex drive as him! haha!

spinningirl10 · 25/02/2014 10:46

Retro..... I feel your frustration!!!

I am older so really feel time is slipping away!! I even suggested to dp this week that we forget the idea of a baby!!!

It's frustrating cos he wants a baby so much and we happily dtd the rest of the month but as soon as its the right time he can't perform!!! I've tried not telling him and that always seems to coincide with him working nights so hard to dtd then!

I feel I'm doing everything I can....have given up smoking, healthy diet, fit.....but I can't get a bfp on my own!!

Ah well.....I guess if its meant to happen then it will! Grin

spinningirl10 · 25/02/2014 10:47

Ooh Linda....spill the beans on self insemination!! Grin

Starbright24 · 25/02/2014 11:00

I tried the no pressure and not mentioning sex for a while to try to see the reaction. That lasted about 4 months then I cracked.
I would like to know more on self insemination too.

Choccywoccydodah · 25/02/2014 11:01

Just started to read back from equaliser, mama get that fecking tampon out! No, it is NOT ok!,

Choccywoccydodah · 25/02/2014 11:01

*earlier

RetroHippy · 25/02/2014 11:20

Maybe it's the timing that's an issue for us then. Currently, any time is 'the right time' just in case, so the pressure is always on.

Though historically sex for us has never been particularly frequent, so I suspect that if I told DH it wasn't necessary we just wouldn't do it Sad.

mama, I wish! Since I've come off the pill I'm up for it all. the. time. I'm the one with the permanent erection! Grin

lindamagoo · 25/02/2014 11:20

Self-insemination is as simple as can be, lol, because we have 2 young kids we don't really have time or energy for dtd every other day so some of the time I'll just go to bed, my lovely oh will do his thing in a little bowl, he wakes me up and all I have to do is use some conceive plus and insert his swimmers Smile god that sounds strange saying it out loud, lol

mama31 · 25/02/2014 12:29

Wow Linda! How do you get it in?? Have you got pregnant this way before?

Choccy really re the tampon?? Shit! Shit! Shit! It's been in all morning while I was on my calls! I'll get it out now!!!!!

sammyj85 · 25/02/2014 12:36

I'll squeeze onto a seat please! TTC#1 cycle 1 - scared but so excited! Possible BFP due March 14th.
