PCOS and starting metformin

We've been TTC for 13 months now and no luck. Starting on Metformin tomorrow. Has anyone had any success with this? Specifically, anyone with PCOS conceived with this treatment?
Thanks!

No we had to go straight to ivf for other issues but did use metformin.
I think theres a good chance it will help your cycles (took some before this treatment and my cycle was different)

Hi I've been ttc since oct 2013. I've been on metformin for 10 years and it has helped give me periods for pcos but I'm not preg yet :(

I have used metformin for ttc and staying pregnant. I took it a number of years ago and had ds. Since then I had 3 mc for no apparent reason. I started back on metformin after the last mc in July. I found it worked well for me. My cycle became regular. I found it relatively easy to loose weight. I'm now (very nervously) 11 weeks pregnant. I have to reduce my metformin and stop.

I worked up to taking 3 tablets per day. One extra per week. Horrible tummy upset when I added the 3rd tablet but after a week or so that settled.
