DPO question!

This may sound like a stupid question but when should I count DPO from. I got a very strong line on a OPK today so would I count this as OV day so then I'll be 1DPO tomorrow?

Sorry for being a bit dim!

You ov 24-72 hrs after the LH surge is first detected. Ov is day 0, so the following day is 1 dpo.

Thanks for the reply. So there is no way of actually knowing the exact day of OV then? Just wondering really as when people talk about being a certain number of a DPO. Do most people just say OV day is 14 days before AF?

Nope, if you are just going to cm and opk's there is no way of knowing the exact day. Temping gives you an accurate date though, but once you have passed it. Some people here may temp and therefore know the day or others may just be pretty good at guessing because they know their cycle.

This is why I think the advice of not testing until after your AF due date.- is good advice.
