Blinking heck.... You lot are chatty this morning!!

Choccy, lovely to hear from you. Glad you've had lots of test and have been referred to a rmc specialist. Hopefully they'll get to the bottom of it and you'll get a sticky one soon.

Writer... thats o weird but also a lovely story, you should def write. And I definitely think you should make that call onelife if only so we can have a giggle at their response!!

Glad it looks like Marge is helping with earlier ov Barmy. Maybe she's not so cray!

Sorry it looks like af is on her way nutjob, sounds like you've been through the mill a bit. Good luck, and hope it isnt the witches early arrival.

ReginaFelange22 · 07/02/2014 14:30

Thanks ladies. Slightly confused and feel a bit numb. Just grateful it's happened when I've been quite early. We had only told both sets of parents.

Writerwannabe83 · 07/02/2014 16:09

Regina - I'm so sorry to hear your news, how terribly sad for you. Fingers crossed you get your sticky bean soon x x

onelife - I would love it if you made such a mad phonecall!! Can you imagine the face of the person on the other end of the phone?! She'd think she was being pranked on the radio or something Grin

choccy - I'm from Warwickshire too!! well, technically I'm Leicestershire but I'm only a 10 minute drive from good old Nuneaton so I class myself as being in Warwickshire Smile

sazzlehopes · 07/02/2014 16:21

Oh Regina, I'm so so sorry. FX that you don't have to wait too long for your sticky bean. Hugs to you x

Onelife, please tell me you've made the call and you're all booked in to go with a potential restraining order too

Choccywoccydodah · 07/02/2014 16:48

So so sorry Regina, it's such a cruel process this ttc lark!! You must be devastated. Much love xx

Writer are you in a place beginning with H by any chance? I'm in a town beginning with R ?? Not long for you now x

Writerwannabe83 · 07/02/2014 16:57

I am indeed Smile

I was born in Nuneaton, lived there for 20 years, then moved to Birmingham, then moved to Coventry and then moved here 4 years ago when I met DH Smile

I'm now trying to think what town you are in - is it 5 letters and ends in Y?? If so, I was supposed to be starting my Health Visitor Training last year (but deferred my place due to TTC) and was going to be placed there for 9 months to carry out my placements Grin

BingoBango85 · 07/02/2014 17:11

Thanks onelife! :)
I will be testing everyday now im sure.

Loopylu84 · 07/02/2014 18:46

Aaaarrrrggghhhh!!! I got a BFP!!!!

Af was due yesterday but didnt arrive....was then woken in the night by horrendous cramping, worse than normal but just assumed it was af, when I woke this morning though there was nothing....
Kept having very slight cramps during the day so when I got home I thought I would test, did an ic first, nothing appeared but when I looked again after 7-8 mins it did look like there was something albeit the faintest line ever
Waited until DH got home and told him, then took a frer which straight away came up with a strong BFP!

I know it's early days so I shouldnt be getting too excited but I am really really excited!!

SnowBells · 07/02/2014 18:50

Congratulations, Loopylu84

Choccywoccydodah · 07/02/2014 19:36

Yes writer I am! Grin
Funny that, a friend of ours has just completed her hv retraining here (was a nurse) you would have been on the same placement!
Just up the road then! Will have to come for a cuddle with your bubs Wink

Choccywoccydodah · 07/02/2014 19:37

Congrats loopy!

Treaclepie19 · 07/02/2014 19:43

Congrats loopy! :)

ReginaFelange22 · 07/02/2014 20:05

Congrats loopy!!

We had only told parents so it's a bit difficult tbh. OHs mum gave me a hug, which is all I wanted. A friend at work gave me a hug, as we usually do, but had to hold the tears back as I just wanted that. I just disappear to the loo and have a cry every now and then. Having my first wine of the year cos I done dryathlon in jan!

I feel like my body has cheated me. It's a strange feeling. Numb is the only word. Both sets of parents are quite gutted my OHs dad was really excited and now it's gone, I feel like I've let them down. Sorry being a bit bleugh.

Writerwannabe83 · 07/02/2014 20:33

What a small world choccy Smile

A woman I work with started her HV Training last September and she is at the base in R Smile So if you have any friends with babies my colleague may well be acting as their HV Smile

Writerwannabe83 · 07/02/2014 20:34

And congratulations Loopy - lovely news!!! Smile

Jessica78 · 07/02/2014 21:47

Quick question - I've read that if you run out of HPTs an OPK will pick up your BFP - is this accurate? Has anyone actually had a BFP on an OPK? I ask as I'm 16DPO & AF is not yet with me...

Writerwannabe83 · 07/02/2014 21:51

My first 'BFP' was with an OPK.

The positive result has to be a strong one though - as strong a line, or stronger than the control line.

I'd only pee'd on an OPK for a laugh and got very confused when a positive result came up. I posted on MN, asking why I was apparently ovulating even though my period was due (thinking my cycles were messed up or something) and that's when I was told OPK can detect pregnancy as the sticks can't differentiate between the ovulation hormone and the pregnancy hormone: i.e if either hormone is present in the urine then a positive result will appear.

I was gobsmacked and ran straight to my local corner shop to buy some HPTs (3 different brands)!! I pee'd on them all when I got back home and got BFPs with all of them Grin

Jessica78 · 07/02/2014 22:05

Thanks Writer! How many DPO were you? X

spinningirl10 · 08/02/2014 08:06

Morning ladiesGrin

I forgot to poas!!!! Will have to save it up for later or wait till tomorrow. Don't think it's going to be our month and have been busy checking out reflexologists in this area. Found one that specialises in fertility so I'm going to give her a call laterGrin
