Hi
I have the Merina coil fitted and have done for nearly 3 years. I have never had a period or any pain it's been great :)

In the last week i have been having the worst stomach cramps and lower back ache like i would get if i was about to have a period but nothing. My stomach feels bloated and i just don't feel great and have no energy.

I did take a pregnancy test yesterday which was negative so not sure if it is side effects. I have made an appointment to see the nurse on Friday to get checked out but wondered if anyone else had experienced this?
Thanks x

I had a friend who had an ectopic pregnancy with a coil fitted. If I were you I would go to the Drs sooner than Friday. Even if you have a negative test, it sounds like you should get seen.

I have the Merina coil too, and had some bleeding for the first two years, but nothing since then. I also get pains from time to time. The first time I panicked about eptopic pregnancy and got it checked out, but the doctors seemed to say everything looked fine. I now just put it down to the fact that my uterus must be feeling pretty full from time to time, and take some paracetamol. It passes.
