Sex the day before ovulation

Dtd last night, getting strong ovulation pains tonight (painful but useful!)

Trouble is dh is fast asleep and ive just gotten in from.work and feeling destinctly unfrisky.

Will dtd last night be enough?!

Yes - sperm can hang around for days. DTD tomorrow instead Grin.

Yep, DTD up to five days before could do it. Sperm can hide out that long. Recommendations are every second day at least. Just wake him early in the morning. I only managed once in fertile period and got caught.

We only started ttc yesterday but caught second month with both previous pgs. Chance of falling first try is slim but would be good to beat our previous ones!

We got pregnant by dtd 4 days before I ovulated, and not at all when I was (as we were waiting to ttc but very happy) :)

Cookielove, do you mind me asking if you had a dd or ds. I'm wondering if there's any truth in the relation between time if dtd in relation to ovulation, as she titles seems to suggest, or not.

I don't know as I am only 6 weeks pregnant. I do know first pregnancy was boy (mmc) which we conceived doing the smep!

Yes! A girl they say if not immediately around the time of ovulation!! I have a boy conceived during the throes of a painful ovulation and a girl from two days before so have reason to believe there may be some truth in it.....

Apparently boy sperm swim fast and die young. Girl sperm are slow and have longevity.

My ovulation test says that I'm ovulating today. Firstly, how accurate are ovulation tests abs secondly, my partner and I dtd yesterday is there a good chance of pregnancy? Thanks
