Quite a number of people I know have been able to plan when they have their babies - I.e. and autumn, winter or summer baby. Got pregnant when they wanted, had the baby when they wanted.

It is irritating though when people feel the need to announce on their fb status that they expect to be expecting soon.

Badhairday76 · 06/02/2014 18:31

Ha ha - I have bad farts too. Mind you I had the farts for 9 months with my DS. I teach teenage boys so if I've accidentally let one escape, it just gets blamed on one of them. They never, ever suspect me!

I am officially ill and not going to work tomorrow. Had a sore throat last night and felt a bit shivery so went to bed early only to wake up with no voice at all. Made for interesting teaching today! Am not going in tomorrow which means a day of rest for me cos my DS is at nursery. Can't wait....

Bugs - don't worry about lack of symptoms. It's still so early. When will you test?

One - don't assume the embie has died!

Cwtch - great news on the blast!

Does the progesterone cause womb ache? I've had womb ache all day. Like period pains but sort of heavier.

At least no one suspects Bad! Hope you have a nice day off tomorrow and recover. I'm resuming normal service tomorrow and off on my homestart volunteering. Hoping to take ds out for the day on Saturday, we were going to go to nearby wildlife park as it has giant dino models but I think it's going to rain ALL DAY so not quite sure what we will do.
Next week I have quite a busy week so hopefully it will distract me a bit. I haven't done a lot this week simply because the blood sugars have been a bit up and down and I've not had much sleep.

WannabeMaryPoppins · 06/02/2014 18:54

Get well soon bad!

One I have no idea. Have never heard of womb ache. I'm intrigued

Well this time tomorrow I'll be pupo. Feeling strangely excited!

Badhairday76 · 06/02/2014 19:05

That's great Maryp!

One - I've been feeling crampy since EC! It can be a good sign.

I am very devious. I did a silent and evil fart and my DP rushed off to change our DS's nappy. I am so immature that I find this hilarious!

WannabeMaryPoppins · 06/02/2014 19:14

Classic bad Grin I have even been known to blame Ds & then insist that DH goes & changes the nappy just to cover my tracks

WannabeMaryPoppins · 06/02/2014 19:15

Or if dh ask directly of it was me &I realise the game its up then my standard reply its yes do you think I smell like this all the time?

Thanks everyone! I'm so so pleased.

Can I ask anyone who has done a FET - is it much cheaper than a fresh cycle?

That is really exciting MP! Not long to go!

Oh no Bad sorry you are feeling rubbish Sad but enjoy your recovery day tomorrow. At least it's nearly the weekend Smile

I can't believe someone would announce their intention to procreate on FB - what a weirdo.

I cannot wait to get out and about over the weekend if I can prise DH away from winter sports Smile

Onelittlebugbear · 06/02/2014 20:13

Yes cwtch, it's about £1k I think x

Onelittlebugbear · 06/02/2014 20:15

Dh was gutted we had none to freeze because it is so much cheaper! I was gutted because I assume if they died so did the one I have on board!

Dh has just gone over the central reservation whilst driving home distracted. He has burst two tyres and is now awaiting recovery. He is not pleased. It will be a few hundred quid we can ill afford.

cwtching · 06/02/2014 20:30

Thank you for the info One DH was asking and I had no idea (very ill-informed). Please don't assume the embie on board is dead! It's a little embie in its own right and totally different to all the others. I hope your DH is okay? Rubbish re the tyres. DH needs loads of jobs doing on his car but we've been putting off doing them to pay for this cycle. Not sure we should be putting a baby before safety but ho hum!

Onelittlebugbear · 06/02/2014 20:31

He's ok but in a Very Bad Mood. I am a bit afraid of him. He's not back yet but I may make myself scarce.

Onelittlebugbear · 06/02/2014 22:15

Yeah but now dh wants my car tomorrow and so I can't get to my homestart family. I cancelled on them last week because I was having EC. They will be livid if i cancel again, I've not been volunteering long! I could maybe get a taxi...it's about five miles or so. There isn't a bus route to get to it that I know of.

This is presenting me with new problems! Dh is refusing the have the car checked over suspension wise because of the cost but to be honest I'd rather not do another cycle of Ivf if it comes to it and spend the money on knowing the car is safe! It definitely needs alloy repair and new tyres and it's a merc so everything is stupidly overpriced. Given that he effectively hit a curb at 59 miles an hour and burst two tyres I think the car should be looked at.

resipsa · 06/02/2014 23:30

Sorry for being AWOL, guys - no real reason, just work and life getting in the way of the only thing I really care about!

But I do have to shout - AF finally arrived last night. Yay! I actually went 'Yes!' in the bathroom. Now that's sad BUT it means FET cycle can start about 30 days from today Smile.

And, you know, DH was a little sad that I wasn't magically pregnant naturally. After 29 cycles. Bless him.

One - hope all is OK. Your DH is not covering himself in glory right now, on any front. Maybe he should return the golf club for a refund?

Glad AF has arrived Res!

One - hope you are okay.

AFM - feeling ghastly today. Not helped by being up since 5am with my DS. He is soooo grumpy today! So is his mother!

Onelittlebugbear · 07/02/2014 09:02

Glad af has made her appearance res now you can get cracking!

Dh is going to try and get his wheels repaired but I'm not sure he will be able to. Also ds had a massive crying fit on the way into school because he remembered he hadn't done his homework. He's 4 and one of the youngest in reception and I think he's tired. I genuinely thought I wasn't going to get him into school. He sat on the floor and howled. I nearly joined in. Everyone was staring, I felt bad for ds and embarrassed at the same time.

cwtching · 07/02/2014 09:23

Yay Res that's great. X

WannabeMaryPoppins · 07/02/2014 10:05

Budge up ladies. Any room for a little one on the pupo bench?Grin

WannabeMaryPoppins · 07/02/2014 10:07

Great news res
One hope the rest of the day works our better for you
Bad hope you've started feeling better
