Hi everyone,

I'm 40, had a miscarriage at 9 weeks last year after conceiving the first month of trying. I've now been TTC for 6 months and no joy :( I've been to see a fertility specialist who tried to reassure me he's confident it will happen again but may take a little while but I'm at a loss as to why it isn't happening.

I test every month with an OPK and get a smiley, do the baby making dance like my life depends on it, but then AF arrives on time every month.

So far I've given up alcohol, caffeine (rooibos has been my saviour!) I've cut back on all things sugar (not entirely tho!) I'm eating healthily...

Can any of you 40+ ladies give me any tips!

Thanks all.

Well, I was ttc for seven years.

Then I read about Judaism.

Jewish women do not have sex for the first two weeks of the months. They count seven days from the last time they see period and then resume marital relations for the last two weeks of the month.

I tried it a few times, bingo...and with only one Fallopian tube.

The two weeks off took pressure off.

I might be crazy. Lol.

OMG Elderberri I've never heard of that, but, I think you might be on to something there. I've known people to say baby making is hard work but always thought that's crazy but now I understand there's so much pressure :) Thanks for you tip.
