first response test .. 'helpline'

it hasn't helped.. the lady was v professional - but i'm none the wiser.

i was v honest and confessed i'd done a hopecat and taken the strip out of the plastic to have a better look. i told her that there is another pink line .. where the chemical starts to flow from i guess. she said ignore that (i told her i've NEVER seen that on any other First response test i've disected).

my thin faint pink line came up within 3 mins on saturday but the clearblue (normal) and first response i did later showed nothing. was 5 days early & the line was with strong wee (sorry!)

anyway, she was adamant that it is positive cos a line is a line(our old favourite girls) (sorry if you're reading this mrs helpline) and its a positive. she also said that theirs are the only tests you can use early. i said i'd just done a clearblue digi (bfn this afternoon) but that i'd heard first response were the better early ones.

i'm not bleeding, just found some brown when checking for cm - its not due for two days you see!!! surely though anything should show pos now

weirdly enough, I did a FR test on saturday and when i looked closely it did look like there was a VERY faint line beyond the plastic (before the 'box' starts) but i'm afraid my instinct was to totally disregarded this as where the chemical began to flow from...surely it has to be in the box?

but anyway, keeping my fingers crossed for you...there are masses of stories on here of people who don't get a bfp for ages, so here's hoping! xx

oh yeah totally.. sorry if not clear, that was there in addition to the other faint pink line. was just mentioing, as wondered if presence of other line meant it was a faulty test.

i had line where it looks (from leaflet) as though the proper pink line for a pos should be

is just v faint and v thin, but def has colour in it.

dh says its not, she said that if its a line, any line, its pos! (helpline woman)

oh, well, if it's in the right place that looks VERY hopeful! do another test in a few days - fingers crossed! x

I had nothing with first response or predictor but a line with boots, e bay sticks and clear blue I tried all of these within 2 days of each other!which was 5 days before af due.I used morning wee with the first response as well but not with the others.

isn't it weird how some work for some girls and others dont get a pos but do with others.. v odd

how are you feeling? how many people have you told?

give it a day or two, if that's implanting bleed then u might need a day or two for a strong pos to show up.

I had an implanting dip on the sun (was temping that month) and got a pos at 9pm on the tue evening so give it till tomorrow am at the earliest i'd say and try with a morning pee. (tbh thou i'd suggest waitn but after doing 2 tests per day for a week with joey just to make sure i'm not one to talk about waiting! lol)

(ooh and I used a cheapo one fomr thee interent. not even a named brand

I am feeling tired in middle of day fall asleep tired, I have got a pain on left side but I did have a small ovarian cyst there when I was pg with dd, I have only told a couple of people as it is only just 4 wks.

I forgot to say good luck to everyone for the right result! it has taken 5 mnths for me the longest yet (not very long I know)but I am 38 and my husband works away a bit(not very helpful) those neg pg tests are so disapointing. The thing that was different this time was definately the dreams (weird!) tugging behind belly button and general spaciness! plus lots of white cm when usually dry in 2 wks after ov(tmi sorry!).
