Hi

My OH and I are just starting to try for our first Which I was really excited about. However I am a size 16- 18 due to a thyroid problem which has now been fixed.

Ikeep reading how I Will never concieve due to my weight and it means that I am getting scared. Is here anyone else in the same boat?

I want to be excited but feel guilty about weight

Well you'll never know until you try!
But more seriously good luck it's an exciting next step in your lives.

I thought I was being good by reading up and it has actually made me think that I won't be able to conceive without major issues. I never really considered it being any issuw before

I think keeping your thyroid under control is the bigger issue tbh. Just try it and see what happens

I'm in a similar boat to you. I decided to try and lose the weight while ttc. I have lost 10lb so far so feeling a little more positive. I think go for it and try not to worry. If you have problems, then see your gp :)

I lost 6 stone (of 8 overweight) while ttc and was told by my doctors once my bmi was below 30 they wouldn't expect it have an affect om getting pregnant.

But even then you never know until you start.

Good luck x

Well I have lost 2 and hopefully on my way to my 3rd. I figure being positive helps.
