Positive and negative tests?!

Very confused. Had positive test yesterday and tested this morning negative. Went to doctor as had appt she tested and negative.

What's happening? I had period last week but this week been very nauseous, on and off food, peeing a lot and put on at least half a stone and in boob area. I feel pregnant. Feel knackered. I am weeing but not being able to get to toilet or hold it. Had weak bladder in past but this is worse.

Also been on levothyrixine past month.

Your Dr needs to investigate more for you - it's possible that you've had a chemical pregnancy where the egg hasn't implanted, or a very early miscarriage and that's what the period last week was. If it was this, then there's nothing that can be done however you wouldn't still be getting pregnancy symptoms. When was your last period? Bear in mind there's a good possibility it's nothing to do with a pregnancy, its unusual to have strong pregnancy symptoms at less than 6 weeks pregnant.

Which test showed you a positive OP? I might be inclined to think it might have been an evap if two subsequent tests have shown negative.

BUT if your first test was an early one and then the two subsequent ones were less sensitive then I think you are still in with a chance xxx

Hi to Rockchick and sebsmummy - I took a test Weds pm and it was positive, the next morning I took another one which I thought was positive but when I looked later it wasn't

Later on I'd booked in GP and she did a test and it was negative.

My last period was last week.

They were both Superdrug tests.

I will ring doctor again this morning.

Sounds like a chemical/early pregnancy unfortunately. Obviously not definitely but fact that you has period a week ago maybe the first test was the last bit of hcg still in your system. A doctors blood test would tell you for sure, sorry you're having this worry! Good luck

It isn't end of the world as I wasn't TTC but I had symptoms.

I had symptoms quite early on 5-6 weeks so it's possible to have symptoms early on and sometimes body takes a while to catch on that the pregnancy hasn't continued. Hope you get the results you want
