Helllooooo, right this is a tmi question but when ttc after dtd do you go to the toilet straight after? Put your legs in the air? Raise your bum on a pillow? And do you keep it all in there all night???

I know, I know but gross but am just curious really!

haha. i tried not to go to the loo straight after but didn't put my legs in the air or anything like that (like julianne moore in the big lebowski). dunno if it makes a difference though - i think they're supposed to be able to swim against gravity!

There's no good reason to 'keep it all in' and every good reason to go to the toilet straight away. You should go to the loo to flush out any bacteria from the entrance to the urinary tract and prevent UTIs. Healthy sperm will swim to the right place regardless and are off up there from the point of ejaculation. Waiting to wee does not aid conception.

I wouldn't go to the toilet straight after. I popped a pillow under bum to aid gravity and lay down for 20-30 mins before getting up

Well I have gotten pregnant twice by accident when we were not ttc and on both occasions I went to the loo straight away and didn't put my legs in the air or anything. So I don't think it is necessary!
