Irregular cycles, when would I be classed as late?

I'm on 10dpo with a bfn this morning. My cycles over the past few months have been quite irregular with 24 days being the average. I've had a 28, 21!, 23 and 24 day cycle.

What day would I be considered as late, and has anyone else had a bfn on 10dpo which then turned into a bfp?

10dpo is still early, I got a BFN at 11dpo then BFP 2 days later.

Do you know how long your luteal phase is? If it's 14 days you've still bit 5 days til you're late, but not everybody is 14 days.

What CD are you now?

BumpNGrind · 27/01/2014 14:45

I'm day 24 of this cycle but I'm not sure how long my luteal phase is. I had a positive ov test on day 14.

I've been going to the toilet non stop because I keep thinking that AF has started, I've had really low down af like pains since 8dpo but nothing seems to have happened. I'm hoping there's a ray of hope like metalhead had, with a bfp but I've been so convinced this month that I'm out, I'd be really surprised.

If the pains were implantation you'd get a positive test in another couple of / few days.

Fingers crossed. :-)

I can't think about anything else now!! I've been to the toilet about 15 times today to check.

Hey bump have you been doctors about your irregular cycle? It's you ovulation date that keeps changing and making your cycle change, your cycles are short so I'm thinking you must ovulate really early?

Biedronka · 27/01/2014 17:59

Hey Bump, this doesn't answer your question but just wanted to say that my cycles were like yours - anywhere from 21 - 28 days so I started VitB6 after 2 months on them they went to a more regular 24/26 days.
My LP is always 13/14 days so I start ov testing early at around day 8 just in case it happens early.

AmelieRose · 27/01/2014 18:14

Hi bump. I sympathise as I had highly irregular cycles after a mc (before mc I was regular as clockwork).

I could never really work out when I was ovulating as a result; meant I was almost a fortnight late (by rough calculations) when I got a BFP after taking 9 tests. I'll be 20 weeks preg on Thursday.

It's a frustrating situation but try to keep going and test again in a few days. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Hi, thanks for the replies, it's so helpful to speak on here. Bumpforme (liking your name), I think I will go to the doctors if this cycle isn't a successful one. Biedronka, thanks for the advice about the b6, I took this on the cycle which had 28 days, so I left it off the following month thinking I was cured, and ended up with a 24 day cycle so it'll be back to b6 for me I think.

AmelieRose, thank you, good luck with your pregnancy, your post is really heartening, I'd be tearing my hair out if I went that long and didn't gave a bfp so it's good to know that it can end well.
