Sorry to hear AF has arrived for others that have to join me but here's hoping for lots of BFP's this month.

Babymad4num3 · 14/08/2006 23:38

sorry in advance for the long reading!

As I said early I had been doctors, The doctor was saying today that, because we already have children, TTC at the right time of the month and lots of BDing, been useing ov-test, both only 25yrs, we don't drink, don't smoke, at the right weight and so and so on, we shouldn't have a problem TTC (for the lasts 13months) but we do.

I told her about some bad back and tummy pains that I've been getting lasting about 4-5days each month and the odd day here and there, that stated back in April, I put it down to a condition that I have called "chronic Pyelonephritis" (kidney recurring infections which has caused scarring and permanent damage to my kidneys) I went to the hospital back in April with really bad pain (to the point of passing out in my kitchen) they touched and passed down on my tummy where one lot of the pains was coming from and it didn't hurt, but when they put one hand on my tummy than taped his hand with his other hand, it hurt, which according to the doctor at the time indicated a pelvic thing or pelvic infection but went home didn't think any more of it till today, and the fact I look back and think well all that pain I've been having isn't down to my kidneys after all (as I have medication to deal with it at home when I feel I might have an infection)

What she said at first is I could have a blockage in my tubes than I told her what hospital said in April and the pains since, she said then that she thinks it's more likely I have a blockage, so now I'm being sent for blood tests.

How can my doctor say that i might have blocked tubes, when i haven't even had tests yet, or is that the only thing it can be? please i need advice with this one!

hopefully i will get to know why i haven't had any luck TTC!

LieselVonTrapp · 15/08/2006 00:06

Is it okay to jump onto this one too and fingers crossed for everyone else.

ShowOfHands · 15/08/2006 09:44

Babymad, sorry I don't know anything about possibilities of blocked tubes etc, but didn't want your post to go unacknowledged. I suppose the positive way to look at it is at least they're looking into it. Perhaps you should start a thread in health and see if more people respond- only TTCers tend to check the conception threads on a regular basis. Keep posting, and good luck!

Liesel, welcome to the thread but you can only stay if you tell us more about yourself. Residence on conception threads is dependent upon a propensity to reveal mortifyingly detailed information about yourself and your conception efforts

morning all

joining at last after a very hectic day yesterday. Yesterday afternoon my ds had a high temperature, it came down with calpol but at teatime he started crying inconsoleably and complaining of severe headache. temp was back up and when I took shoes off noticed that he had cold hands and feet, was terrified at that point as high temp with cold extremeties can point to early signs of meningitis. I rushed him up to our dr's surgery and she looked him all over and said thought likely to be a virus but that he had temp of 40 degrees so something to be concerned about. Told me to give paracetamol and ibuprofin and if temp not down within hour to take him to hospital. Did that and temp started to come down luckily but was ve worried all night, he woke with temp again, but after more calpol/calprufen he's now had breakfast and is playing so I think we're over the worst of whatever it was. It really got me thinking though about how lucky I am to have what I already have.

sorry for long post.

LieselVonTrapp · 15/08/2006 10:40

Show of hands
See July and August threads. Hence the reason Im jumping on this one too.

Sexonlegs · 15/08/2006 11:20

Oh wannabe, how very frightening for you all. Hope he continues to make a quick recovery.
Children are like that aren't they. They will fall with something out of nowhere. and then bounce right back the next day. Hugs to you.

coggy · 15/08/2006 11:26

Sounded scary for you all wannaBe...hope he is perkier today.
X

coggy · 15/08/2006 11:27

SOH.....rather impressed by your last sentence I have to say!!!!!

WantAbabyNOW · 15/08/2006 11:28

Hi all,

Nothing new to add really. On day 80 something. Pretty much cant be bothered counting anymore! It is getting ridiculas now.

As had pains in abdomen not last friday but fri before and temp changed and had ferning patt on microscope still hoping might get a bfp. Highly doubtful but bought a two pack of clear blue digitals just in case. How expensive are they!!! DH almost died of shock. It cost $20 aus dollars which I think is dear when you can get a regular 2 pk for about $12.

Anyway, dont know if I am game enough to do one yet... I think you have to wait 2 weeks??? Maybe it would show up though... I dont know!!!

Anyhow, hope you are all well and bd like mad.

coggy · 15/08/2006 11:31

I think the general advice is to wait 15 day after ov. Wanta.

Count from your ferning day onwards........

MrsMcJnr · 15/08/2006 11:45

Morning all - Welcome Liesel.

Really feeling for you Babymad, why do doctors just say these things so matter of factly when surely they know how much we'll worry? Hope it all gets figured out for you soon.

What a scary time you've had Wannabe, hope that is that over.

I have paid for the TCOYF software today and had a quick look at their website. The forums seem very confusing, does anyone post on them? I was hoping to find out a little more about the software. I am a bit confused as I did not get any confirmation of ov on my cycle last month even though I recorded my temps (which did increase and then dip again) and CF so I thought I had ov so don't understand why software doesn't. Anyone else experienced that?

How is everyone today? CD4 so not much to report.

coggy · 15/08/2006 11:55

Weirdly enough I had the opposite...

I bought the TCOYF software because it showerd I was ov. whereas the Fertility Friend one didn't!!!

I did use opk though and it accepted that...FF wouldn't!!!

I also want to temp as I'm really interested in charts etc. but when the alarm goes off I just can't be bothered!!!
I know it only takes a few seconds but I just doze off again!!!

ShowOfHands · 15/08/2006 12:06

Wannabe, I hope your DS is well on the road to recovery, how scary for you and horrible for him.

Wantababy, day 80?!?!?! It sounds so frustrating.

Coggy, I've finally constructed an impressive sentence! This means that six years of university was worth it after all. My eternal studentdom is justified at last.

CD3 today so nothing happening apart from running out of chocolate digestives as of 11am.

ShowOfHands · 15/08/2006 12:08

Oh and Liesel, I can't read the July thread (had a m/c and it's detailed on there), but will try and trawl through the epic August two-parter and catch up. Should be easy enough, you live in a big house in Austria, respond well to whistles and sing at the drop of a hat I am assuming?

Tili · 15/08/2006 15:02

Hello everyone.
Joining this thread now from the august one as af is still missing so fingers crossed it will show and I will have a positive sept
Hope everyone is doing well.Wannabe hope ds is feeling better now.
good luck all!

LieselVonTrapp · 15/08/2006 15:56

But of course and my boyfriends a nazi postman.
That will probably be deleted.

andi0411 · 15/08/2006 19:19

Hi everyone- hope it's all going ok....cd 15 today, nothing new to report except can anyone tell me what kind of symptoms they get around ov time? i have never really monitored ov, but i have since my last mc and have noticed i get bloated, and also twinges. Is this normal?
Wannabe- i hope your ds is better, it must be such a worry when your kids are sick.
Babymad it sounds to me that your doc is going by the most likely diagnosis and is just checking it out- which has to be good, right?
Welcome to Liesel..can someone let me in on the Austria/nazi thing?Lol.

cazzybabs · 15/08/2006 23:57

I am still here - don't post as much as I should! Have bougt a persona off Ebay to help with the old ttc - but am trying to half-heartly aviod c now till Dec!

MrsMcJnr · 16/08/2006 10:15

Morning all, hope all is well. Nothing to report from me. Good luck and babydust to all.................

ShowOfHands · 16/08/2006 10:59

Morning andi!

I always feel bloated when I ovulate and have uncomfortable twinges. It feels like a cross between having eaten far too much and desperately needing the loo, but neither one is true.

And LieselVonTrapp is the character out of the Sound of Music with a Nazi postman boyfriend.

WantAbabyNOW · 16/08/2006 11:01

Hi all,

CD 81 now... not counting or anything...lol

Been v. good and have not tested. Instead decided to have some red wine with dh at dinner.
Dont know if I should be or not but I certainly do feel very er... chirpy I guess?

Plenty of bd tonight I think. Supposed to be doing it every second night but to be honest there are some nights when I am just too darn tired. One of the side efects of metformin is feeling tired... lmao I must have been taking it for a long time then!!! Seriously though, Kinder kids really wear you out. Especially when they whinge ALL the time. Gosh I hope I do not have WHINGY WHINING CHILD. I know I shouldnt be picky!!!

Boobs... well nipples in particular are quite sore. Sorry for tmi bu dh had a tiny suck on them earlier tonight in the bath and it hurt so bad! They also shot out about 3 cm which is weird cause I have never noticed them like that before.

Want to apologse for bad spelling. I guess its the teacher in me but tnh right now I can barely see the keyboard.

Night all

melrose · 16/08/2006 11:02

Morning all- SOH thanks for the info on your ov symptoms- sounds like what I had. I keep..well tweaking(gross i know) my boobs to see if they're tender and they're not.
