Hi everyone,

Im on cd 50 and it doesnt look like anything is happening although on saturday night I had some mad pains in my groin on the right side so thought Id better bd last nite just in case its ov.
Wanta has truly made me feel better in knowing that I may still get my bfp without af showing up when its supposed to!
How is everyone else doing?

andi0411 · 21/08/2006 14:25

Hi ladies-
Chickenpie- you are more than welcome.
Tilli- I know wantas news has given us all hope but esp those with strange cycles etc...good luck to you!!

fredly · 21/08/2006 14:47

Afternoon ladies, mind if I jump in the Sept boat?
Here I am, one almost 2 year old adorable dd and trying to conceive again. I stopped the pill 4 months ago and this month I've started charting my waking temp and keeping an eye on my CF! Nothing much to report so far as I'm on CD7.

Congrats Wanta I'm soooo jealous !! . Enjoy every minute of your pregnancy.

coggy · 21/08/2006 14:53

wannaBe.....I am loving the way you have become the all-knowing orgasm queen!!!!
LOL!!!!!
Takes ther pressure of me as a knicker checker!!!!

MrsMc.....surely you didn't really dream about EWCM!!!????!!!
What are we all like???!!!
What supplements does the old Toni recommend for a short luteal phase?

fredly · 21/08/2006 14:57

Hi Coggy, for short LP she recommends progesterone creams and vitamin B6.

coggy · 21/08/2006 15:09

Thanks fredly.....natural progesterone cream?
Put on the tummy?
Any more info would be gratefully recieved!!

I am on my last couple of months on clomid and then if nothing comes of that I shall try some alternative things like this.
(Don't want to mix things)

MrsMcJnr · 21/08/2006 16:26

oh Coggy, I am so, so sorry, what a tragic and awful thing to happen. My parents nearly lost me the same way. I really hope that you fall again soon. You have had such a horrible time. You have such a great attitude and spirit, I am sure you'll get an EBFP soon.

I'll read the bit on nutritional supplements for short luteal phases again tonight and report back but I think Fredly has told you most of it already (very impressed Fredly! and nice to see you on here!).

The EWCM dream was not like a chocolate or ice cream dream, it was more that I dreamt I had tons and had to get DH to come home asap from work to make good use of it! Premonition? Sorry TMI

Welcome Chickenpies (loving the name too!) how is Trace2? haven't heard from her for a while and she is very missed. She is our charting ghuru. Very exciting about the house hunting SOH, really pleased for you.

DD1ofcolandgerry · 21/08/2006 18:01

Hello ladies, hope that everyone is well

Ive a quick question, can you have a luteal phase of more than 14 days. Last month I had a 30 day cycle with ovulation(sticks and pains) around cd12/13. This would have made the luteal phase about 17/18 days or so. Im now cd13, and ovulation sticks showed a smiley positive face yesterday. My reckoning is I should ovulate between yesterday and tomorrow. Yesterday I had loads of ewcm(tmi I know) and abdo pains so I must be getting ready. Serious amount of BDing at the moment...must keep up until cd18 at least..if dh can manage it!!!!!

Any answers???

dd1

coggy · 21/08/2006 18:51

Yes you can......the longer the better I would think!!!
It gives plenty of time for implantation then.

barnsleytykes · 21/08/2006 19:19

hi all anyone about? not been on all week but am back and just wished sol and wanta congrats

Tili · 21/08/2006 21:32

hello me again!
just wanted to ask following wanta's fab news should I be pg testing every wk or so just incase I do manage to fall pg while waiting for af?
I dont think I have any fertility problems (fingers crossed) so my weird cycle or lack of! may be due to coming off the pill.
The reason I ask is I didnt have any symptoms with dd. I got a bfn a few days after my af was due then a bfp a week or so after then it was about a fortnight later that I started with morning sickness. So i am thinking that if I am lucky enough to fall pg I wont pick up on it for ages!
just need some opinions. all dh can say is " this is gonna cost a bloody fortune before its even here!!"
When we went to get a pg test the other week he couldnt believe the prices "scandalous" (in gruff dh tone of voice!!!) lol

coggy · 21/08/2006 23:15

Tili....given your history...I would test a week after AF is due and not before (if you can bear it!!! If you got a bfn when you were pg before it'd probably be a waste of time doing another test that early too.)

If you are not sure when your AF is due....do a test about 35 days after last bleed....whenever that was.
HTH.

trace2 · 22/08/2006 09:59

hi all am back and invited chickenpiescheeky to join us, i changed my name to barnsleytykes, but everyone ijoned me so and back to trace2 but i may go back to
other

Angsthase · 22/08/2006 10:02

Right, officially got AF now, so am moving in!

Very strange cycle this month (and last). Before my pg / m.c. my cycles were 28 days. Before I went back on the pill at 33 (after 8 years off it)they were 29 days. Since m.c. they have been 14, 28 and 31 and 31.
Don't know if this is to do with m.c. or if my body just has changed because of pg/mc. Any ideas?

Right. Plan to use some tricks this month. Is this right:

  1. Pregnacare - every day.
  2. EPO Day 1 to OV.
  3. Grapefruit juice around OV. Approx Day 10-20?
  4. Cough syrup around OV. Approx Day 10-20? (Is Venos the one?)

Will try and use cheap OPK's, as used the expensive ones in the past and they didn't show that I ov'd atall.
Also plan to not drink atall from today. Will this help with this cycle - or will this only help longterm?

Sorry for long post. Want to make Sept my month

Good luck all.

WantAbabyNOW · 22/08/2006 10:12

Hi girls!

I just wanted to say a huge than to you all for your lovely thoughts. I honestly did not think it would be me so soon but am so glad it is. Its amazing.. you feel relief for about 5 mins before the worry kicks in! Am trying to stay calm. DH has told everyone and I have to admit I cant really help myself either. Have not told the kids at school yet but cant wait!

Have worked out my leave etc and basically I have another 26 school weeks left. The remainder is holidays. Edd is 30th April.

Thanks again to everyone. I hope you all get EBFP very soon!

p.s.... not quite ready to move to any other threads. Hope you dont mind.

coggy · 22/08/2006 10:14

LOL Trace!!!!
I read one of your posts yesterday where you said something about me....I thought it was lovely but how does this person know me...I've never seen them before!!!!!!!!
Now it makes sense!!!!!!
Good to see you properly again!!!

Angsthase...my cycles changed after having ds. Used to be anywhere b't'n 24 and 32 days, then afterwards I ws a s regular as clockwork for about 9 months....27, 28, 27 etc.
Now I'm slightly more random again...26 - 32 but possibly because of the clomid?

coggy · 22/08/2006 10:16

That's nice that you're still around for a while Wanta.
Also quite nice to know from your EDD that those of us who get a bfp on this thread will be due in May.

Perfect time of year to have a db IMO!!!!!

MrsMcJnr · 22/08/2006 10:22

Morning Ladies and hello Trace2, nice 2 have you back. I'm probably being thick but why use different names on the same forum? I have seen quite a few people do it and I wondered why because you then don't know that you have talked to them before.

Angsthase - sorry to see you here but glad to have you to chat too. Sounds like you plan to do it all right. I am using Venos as it had the highest % of guifessin (sp!) I could find at Tesco. I would like to be good like you with the booze but we have so much social stuff at the mo and I love my wine .

Nothing much to report from me, CD11, temp is sinking not rising, OPKs negative, trying the "three prong attack" for better EWCM and trying to convince DH to BD (sore back still). Only managed once this week - must do better now I'm in the fertile phase but hard when we are not getting much sleep due to ignorant relatives staying with us who make a racket all night with slamming doors, flushing loos, showers and baths at 4.30am!! etc, grrrrr - thanks for letting me vent that!

Good luck to all - Babymad, has your "parcel" arrived yet? mine hasn't.

MrsMcJnr · 22/08/2006 10:25

So cool you have your due date Wanta and it's nice that you are still here with us, try not to worry, I'm sure everything will be fine . I agree with you Coggy, May is a great time for a baby!

Babymad4num3 · 22/08/2006 10:27

Per seed? If so yes this morning worrying shape!

MrsMcJnr · 22/08/2006 10:29

Ohh interesting - I hope the packaging is discreet, would be so embarassing otherwise with the relatives at the house whilst I'm at work! . Let me know how you get on with it!

Natty1806 · 22/08/2006 10:34

Hi All

CD 28 today so hoping AF is coming soon ready for the magic beans.

Part of me has a really hopeful feeling about September, i agree May would be a nice time to have a baby but to be honest any time would be nice only bad thing about having a spring/summer baby is less clothes and flabby belly - not good, winter big jumpers hid flabby belly. LOL

No signs of AF arriving but am starting to get moody so maybe she is on her way or maybe i am just a moody mare

Anyway glad to see Trace is back and everyone else has plans of action this month.

Good luck at the clinic tomorrow coggy. x
