HELP ADVICE NEEDED

Im currently have a water infection been feeling rubbish with chills, fever, headaches etc got some antibiotics from the doctor.
Just on the off chance took an opk and it was positive which is great but im totally not in the mood to get jigging with it as my kidneys feels like there being squeezed but will have to make the effort as I have irregular and long cycles so dont know when im next going to have the chance!
Anyway the question im asking is will my infection or antibiotics have any affect on ttc this month?

Surely not the best time to ttc? Doesn't sound like its too healthy up there atm.

Not sure if they will affect TTC but DTD will prolong the infection. Might be better to right this cycle off.
If you are desperate to give it a go regardless then try to keep irritation to a minimum by your DH doing some "handy work" while kissing and just finishing inside you (sorry if a bit tmi there)

I think thora has hit the nail on the head there As long as you don't mind being used as a wank receptacle then that's the way to go

OPKs are of no benefit at all if your cycles are irregular in nature and I would stop using these forthwith. Such problems too are often caused by hormonal imbalances; in this respect a condition called polycystic ovaries is a common culprit.

Once you are over your water infection I would seek medical advice regarding your long cycles and have blood tests done. You need a day 2 test to begin with to check your LH level against that of your FSH level.

I would take no notice of the OPK you did; all that has noted is a level of LH and that itself does not mean that ovulation is happening.

Thanks guys wank receptacle lol that made me chuckle! DH was very gentle and quick bless him! Had the ovulation twinges and aches so I know its happening (know the feeling from when ttc DD)
Been trying for 6 months now had the coil in so maybe my body is still adjusting and this water infection is just very bad timing
