If you’re over 30, ttc over 12 months and wearing nipple tassels under your snowsuit then this just might be the thread for you - if you can prove yourself bitter and evil enough. We’ll be the judge of that. Don your snowsuit , cowbell ready - fill in the BESHtionnaire and prepare to meet our icy glare. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

misshobart it's because the appropriate hormone level are at their highest around 3-4 hours before you wake up, of course if you work rolling shifts you're fucked anyway (as you know!). It has been said though that SMU is better than FMU because FMU is so diluted because you don't have a prostrate which gets you up 16 times a night. So with SMU you are producing less wee but with a higher concentrate of hormone.

MissHobart · 08/02/2014 07:51

Ahh, brilliant, thanks! Will just test periodically and how for the best! Bedtime now! Grin

Fabuluce · 08/02/2014 08:27

Bugs I'm clinging on to a toe and showering you with prawns of potential.

Hest, when you have a lower amount of embies to go back they are deemed even more precious and so the best place is snuggled back in your Womble as quick as possible for safe keeping. They are in the right place for you Smile

I too love Kevin Spacey. He's always been on my list of strangely attractive men. Bit like Eddie Izzard. There I've said it.

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 08/02/2014 08:45

The crushes of shame make me feel a little sick, it's too early for that!

Hest, we never got told our grades, fresh round 1 embie, day 3, 8 cells, cp; round 2 FET, day 4, early blast, diffed. They only left Lembie longer to check it defrosted ok, as far as I understood. Less embies means sooner ET as there is no choice to be made, so best pop them in quickly. All sounds fine.

eurochick · 08/02/2014 09:31

Morning!

How are our PUPOs doing today?

cherrycoconut · 08/02/2014 09:34

Sorry, too much going on here for more than sporadic MN'ing. Just popping by to commiserate with Geek - that's bastard disappointing news and more difficult decisions from here too. Crap that Sooper G is away for the weekend to leave you on your own with all of this. Do you think male factor ishoos are where it's at? For me I'd be hovering at options 3 or 4. A plan is always good. Even if it changes it's something to focus on.

Welcome to the fold nutter, I reckon you're in. I get the GSOH thang but nah, I just couldn't go there and Angelina is the opposite for me. Too much of everything Dara's not.

Leaves cockles for bugs, Hest and Fizz.

Feck - with all the goings on last night whilst I was doing dinner for friends I totally missed Geek and newbie! Sorrry! Welcome newbie, get your ski suit and goggles on and come out for a play in the snow Smile oh and Dara O'Briain looks far too much like my Bessie's husb for me to ever think of him like that!!

Geek, I'm so sorry to hear your news. Do you know where the issues lie? I'm sure you told us but I've forgotten I'm afraid. Can you please give us a recap?

I made butternut squash and chicken lasagne followed by banana and baileys bread and butter pudding. I've got leftovers - anyone interested?

HesterShaw · 08/02/2014 12:04

Me!

Fabuluce · 08/02/2014 12:34

Lovely - will package some up for you Hest - tis lush. Smile

ControlGeek · 08/02/2014 12:44

so bugs when are you testing? Do I need to start practicing my kidney punches or are you going to be a good hag and piss on a stick tomorrow?

hest how are you feeling today?

It's fascinating seeing the round up of emby grades. Just goes to show you really can't predict what will work and what won't. Mine was a grade 1 8-cell emby on day 3 last time, this cycle was a grade 2 6-cell on day 2.

fab mmmmm banana and baileys bread and butter pudding you say? Yes please! Truth of the matter is we are no further forward in knowing where the issue lies, the only solid information is that there is a very big problem somewhere. It might be from the sperm, it might be from the eggs, or it might be a combination of them both. I have fast growing embies, apparently, which could hint at chromosomal abnormality, but there is no way of saying where the abnormality might originate.

I am leaning towards option 3 at the moment. Last night it was more towards option 4 but I'm worried I'd just be wasting my eggs putting them with poor MrG's sperm. Option 4 would also be very much more expensive. Need to talk with MrG when he is back. OTD wasn't supposed to be until next week, except my follies went wild and produced my eggs in record time, so him going away wasn't supposed to be so badly timed.

Must learn how to write non-epic posts. Sorry again Blush

CatsCantFlyFast · 08/02/2014 13:02

Geek have you considered immune issues? There is a consultant in Epsom (Dr Shehata) who specialises in that, with some interesting results. Not sure of your full history so apologies for wading in if this is something you've already looked at

merkin my consultant was extremely dismissive of immune issues when I raised it with him. He's firmly in the 'it's all rubbish' camp. I've heard good things about Mr Shehata, but I know it's all pretty expensive, too. Two of my friends have now had their baybees following immune treatment, one at Mr S's hands. I might have to revisit it as an option. Thank you.

HesterShaw · 08/02/2014 13:12

Mine too when I asked her. I don't know what to think.

However we don't have the money so I won't think anything.

I have less painful boobs. Could it be game over already or would it be the trigger just leaving my system? It's only been 72 hours.

ControlGeek · 08/02/2014 13:15

Far too early for it to be game over hest, it takes a few days before your emby is ready to implant. It's probably your bod just settling down to the new hormonal rhythm what with the fading trigger and the progesterone, plus whatever your follies will be pumping into your system.

ControlGeek · 08/02/2014 13:16

Oops, body, not bod. Must proofread.

FizzyFeet · 08/02/2014 13:39

I POAS today for the first time in ages! Sadly it was just one of those ovulation detector things. I can see why people like them - it must be nice to see a Smile face.

Am sitting curled up with a heat pack and some raspberry leaf tea. Rock and roll.

eurochick · 08/02/2014 13:47

I used to love seeing the :) face, fizz. It was one of the few positive moments in the ttc shit.

hest I agree with wisegeek. It is too early to read anything into anything.

Try not to blow away bugs! I'm just back from brunch with a friend and it was hard to stand up in the gusts.

OK, I've uploaded a photo to my gallery of my opk tests, according to my phone app I should ovulate on the 13th but did that last test look positive?! Hope not as due to OH spending yesterday and today drinking Angry we haven't done it (poor performance non existent Hmm ) and shifts mean we won't see each other till Tuesday Confused Hmm Angry

MissHobart · 08/02/2014 15:13

Bugs - a cbd well give you a pregnant result. Put some black tape over the weeks bit so it doesn't drive you nuts! Grin

Fabuluce · 08/02/2014 15:40

Good luck walking Bugs - it's a blimmin whirlwind out there. Soz you can't join in on the food....oh wait, this is virtual do you can! Enjoy Smile

Mr George Ndukwe at Zita West is also an immune specialist - I can recommend him. It's a bit of a marmite speciality though. Have you ever been offered chromosome karotyping of your embryos geek? If they are developing too fast it sounds like that would be the option to look at first to find out where it's going wrong at what might be the route cause. There seems little point to me for the consultants just to keep repeating the same options over and over again at the cost of our sanity. I want to see mine looking at all options - work bitches work!

I'm a big advocate of head in the sand at this point Bugs - the longer you wait, the clearer the result should be right?
