If you’re over 30, ttc over 12 months and wearing nipple tassels under your snowsuit then this just might be the thread for you - if you can prove yourself bitter and evil enough. We’ll be the judge of that. Don your snowsuit , cowbell ready - fill in the BESHtionnaire and prepare to meet our icy glare. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

Oh @rses, bugs. You're only 9 or 10dpo though, right? And it wasn't FMU. I don't think you can consider yourself out yet.

missh when I used OPKs I heard around 2-3pm was the best time to test, so I went with that, and always managed to get a positive.

geek I'm sorry you're out. Have a nice furry kitty cuddle. They always help.

eurochick · 07/02/2014 17:50

X-posts. 10dpo then. And a whisper of a line. TBH, this early and without FMU a whisper is the most you could expect...

You had a 4 day transfer? I didn't think anywhere did 4 day transfers? Interesting.

Ok, each body is different but my personal experience is that the superdrug tests are not amazingly sensitive. Good, yes, but they are not up there in the FRER stakes. On both my trigger testing out experiments, 8 days after the trigger shot (that's 6 days after egg collection), I was getting a whisper of a line on the superdrug tests. By 9DPTrigger, there was sod all there. If you are 10DPEC then you are 12DPTrigger. I'll not throw the haddock of happiness into the room just yet, but do remember it is only 10DPO, and afternoon pee. Don't write yourself off just yet.

missh I never bothered waiting for it to cool either. I was a dip and go girl. FMU for me, as I never got a strong line at any other time of day, and got fed up of giving myself a headache not drinking anything for a four/five hour stretch.

Bugs, wait. I'm sure it's too early ((((((())))))))

Geek, I'm so sorry. Don't know what to suggest. You need to see how you feel in a few weeks I guess. It's not an easy decision. :(

HesterShaw · 07/02/2014 18:41

Though actually I know nothing of testing so feel free to ignore.

I can't lurk without posting.

I'm almost bursting with hope here.

As you were.

I've got another Inappropriate Crush: Kevin Spacey. Gay or not, he's just dreamy.

eurochick · 07/02/2014 20:27

I see, bugs. It's really encouraging that one was at bast at 4dpEC.

My lines were very faint to start with. I never tested as early as 10dpo though. On my first BFP cycle, I got a faint line at 8dpo and a fainter one (barely there) at 9dpo, so I took that to mean that was the last of the trigger. I then waited until 12dpo to actually test and got a very faint line in an internet cheapie. This time I tested at 11dpo and got a very faint line.

Quietly hoping here too. I never tested before 16dpo and thought the lines were unimpressive then. Holding out til Sunday sounds the way forward, but I would refrain from binge drinking and raw meat, just in case...

Waves to the others!

lovesLemonDrizzleCake · 07/02/2014 20:38

Ps Lembie was a blast at day4 too... Just saying.

HesterShaw · 07/02/2014 21:06

Why did mine go back in after only two days? Was it because there were only two altogether? She said they were good quality...grade two. She said hardly any were grade one.

HesterShaw · 07/02/2014 21:07

They were four cells each.

eurochick · 07/02/2014 21:13

Mine all went back at day 2 or 3, hest. They only take them on if there are a certain number at that point (I think most clinics want 6 or 7, from what I have read on here). I've never had more than 2 at that point so they popped them straight back.

HesterShaw · 07/02/2014 21:14

Oh :(

HesterShaw · 07/02/2014 21:31

Ah bollocks I can't remember what grade they were. What's the best? Ours were second best. Or "yours" as MrH just thoughtfully put it.

eurochick · 07/02/2014 21:47

Lovely!

Mine were:
Cycle 1 - 1 x grade 1, day 2 (2 cell) - BFP, mc
Cycle 2 - 2 x grade 3, day 2 (2 and 5 cell), chem preg
Cycle 3 - 1 x grade 1, day 3 (can't remember no. of cells) - chem preg
Cycle 4 - 1 x grade ? (they never told us - they said it wasn't top grade and there was some fragmentation but it was ok, so I'm thinking grade 2), (5 cell, 6 just before transfer) day 3, BFP, ?

All were slow. The quality was generally ok though (cycle 2 was just after the mc and I don't think I had really recovered enough).

HesterShaw · 07/02/2014 21:56

MrH has been googling. He reckons everything is just as it should be, from what we were told.
