any1 know what happens when coil is removed?

hi

I want to start trying for another baby. we are going to scotland next sat for 1 week i was thinking of taking it out befor e we go but if i start bleeding straight away and it lasts i'd rather wait till we get back.
does any1 know when bleeding starts after removal and how long it lasts?

i have a mirena too by the way! not the IUD!

hi - in my experience, had mirena out 26 apr his year; gp said to wait till after wedding in case of bleeding.

went on honeymoon day atter and within about a week, i had some very very very light bleeding for a day or two. stingy, sort of like cystitis.

period returned 31 days after that and has been reg for the couple of months since.

so in my case it was okay although.... just before the v light bleeding, on big romantic candleight dinner night of honeymoon, i had a bit of a funny turn - maj cold sweats & nausea which lasted about 15 mins. this was before the light bleeding. may be unrelated but thought i'd mention.

i have read girls on here who had more bleeding straight away & sooner. i'm afraid it seems to be down to luck. re. timing in cycle, mine out 27th which was about four or five days before AF due.
