I noticed it was on special on Holland and Barratts website for £1.99 so I've ordered 2 bottles.

I've read somewhere that it can help regulate menstrual cycles, and I'm hoping it will kick start mine back into action!
I haven't had a period since I went on the depo jab, I had my last jab in April 2013 so things should be back to normal.

Aaaanywaaay, I was wondering what dosage to take? 2 in the morning, 2 at night? Or 1 in the an and one in the pm?
They're 400mg caps if that helps.

First jab was June 2012. Sorry forgot to add that in.

I would return to the GP and seek medical advice rather than start self medicating with AC (its never a good idea to self medicate with herbal stuff anyway). It will likely not do anything at all for this problem you are experiencing.

Infact period cessation post depo is not uncommon; some women have waited a year or more for their periods to return post jab. I have to ask why on earth it was given to you in the first place.

Hi I was on the depo as well mine ran out on July. It can take up to a year for your body to get back to normal. I started taking agnus castus a couple of months ago and finally have my first af after 5 months of nothing not sure if it was the pills and with dosage I'd go with what it says on the bottle I got mine from amazon and it says 1-2 a day so I take 2 once a day .

Attila, it was me who asked for the depo jab. At the time we didn't want anymore babies and I thought I was safeguarding myself, or preserving myself of you like.
It was a compromise between DH and I. He wouldn't get the snip if I took control of the contraception - neither of us like condoms.

I'm going to see the nurse practitioner next week (cervical screening - yay Hmm) so I'll have a chat with her before I take any of it. Thanks redhead for your advice :)

I did have the copper coil fitted in June last year but it fell out in August!! Never had it refitted. It was a pleasant experience having it fitted so I didn't care to repeat it.

I realise it can take a while But I'm rather impatient to be getting on with ttc. I need a cycle before I can do that.

I strongly advise you against taking an unregulated 'herbal' medicine while TTC. You have no idea of side effects. Doctors thought Thalidomide was safe and that was a licenced, regulated medication.
I would not waste your money either.
It is not yet a year since you had your last injection so within the realms of normal expectation.

CherryPie3 · 21/01/2014 18:38

Thanks for your reply. I've already ordered it and it will be here in the next 7 days or so.

I will definitely speak to the nurse about it and she what she says. I know she'll give me an honest answer because she's all for herbal medication so she'll tell me whether it's any use or not. :)

I know I'm still within normal time frames but I'm just so damn impatient Grin
