Mid-Cycle Pains - anything to worry about?

We are ttc DC2 so I came off the pill last month. Since then I have had 2 periods and both times I've had quite bad pains / cramps in my side around the middle of my cycle. I've also felt nauseas. I've heard of mid-cycle pain caused by ovulation and am guessing (hoping) it is just that - but as I've never experienced it before and as we're ttc, it has just got me a bit worried... Any thoughts / reassurance much appreciated! Thanks.

is it like a poking pain in your side but on the front kind of around hip height? I've had that around time of ovulation and my doc said it was just that. However if its crippling pain then best see your GP.

I get ovulation cramps - last about half a day and I can tell which side I am ovulating too... so could be that.... but if it lasts longer I would go see the doc...

Thanks both - yes it is like a slight stabbing pain in my side near my hip. Nothing too severe, just a bit uncomfortable. It does sound like ovulation cramps it was just that I hadn't had them before so wanted to check. I guess it's a not-so-subtle hint from my body to do the deed if we want another bub!!!!
