Somewhat gross question about cm, semen and lube...

I ovulated about a week ago. Fairly certain of this.

This morning I got a big lump of yellow stuff after a BM, which basically looked like snot/phlegm. Very stretchy and didn't dissolve in water: it sank to the bottom. It looked a bit like a mucus plug.

We DTD last night with lube (not a huge amount) but I'd been to the bathroom immediately after and once during the night (just pees though). I've never had something like this after sex before: normally it's just the clear shiny stuff which disappears pretty quickly.

I can find stuff on line about whether it's EWCM or semen, but nothing about how to tell if it's residual lube (searching for that brings up some rather dodgy looking sites..) or something else.

Any ideas?

Hi , I dont have an answer for you I'm afraid but I would really like to know too! I try to monitor my cm to check when fertile but often I've been dtd around then so I'm always confused as to what's natural cm and what's ummmm left over from dp. Hopefully someone will answer.......

I read that if you have it On your finger and run it under the tap. If cm stays its ew and if it doesn't its semen.

Well I don't think it was lube since I've realised that the lube was water soluble, so it would have dissolved inside of me.

And all the other tests I've found online for cm vs semen suggest that it was cm. Which is weird: never had that amount before...

Hi radiator Was about to reply as I'm interested in this too and then noticed who the OP was!

First time I remember having this I was pregnant with ds. Second time I had snot pants (eww) was last week for several days and had more this morning, AF due tomorrow. I was going to mention it to you on the other thread.

That's very exciting... Let me know how you get on tomorrow :) I haven't had any more lumps, just some smaller amounts, but I have had some very weird pinching on the crease between my hip and pubic bone and constant backache which is not normal for me.

Pretty sure my body can hear me listing my 'symptoms' and will respond appropriately by getting pregnant ;)
