Hi all,
So I have read the books
Taking charge of your fertility
Good news on miscarriages
Had sex multiple times in the month and not had 1 successful pregnancy in this course of ttc!
Last ditch hope with partners sperm count being low and lazy and me being mental and crazy I have bought a fertility monitor. ( clear blue) never used one before and would love to hear people's experiences of them! I am awaiting the af to start use but for now I have read instructions and set to go Grin

I have a CBFM. I have not used it for my two past pregnancies. I bought it to work out (in last year) if I still ovulate (before we TTC).

It has caught my ovulation almost every month.

One month (last month) it went haywire, either because i missed tests OR because I was phenomenaly ill enough not to ovulate (not sure which). On reflection I think tests BECAUSE every single day i have ovulated it has been the same day in my cycle and i suspect they design these things to get you to use sticks to wee on as much as possible.
So .... i think once they have given you that information they are a bit maddening - but the idea is DTD the day before you ovulate. (to give the swimmers their conditioning time). Use wise, as it just takes an image and then compares those it is doing the same thing as the cheapie sticks. BUT in the early hours of the morning it's nice to not be making a rational comparison/ visual assessment.

er. sorry i rambled. I like that it makes a 'cold' assessment of my lines on sticks. I dislike that i get to see i ovulate. I find it very annoying with it's demands for sticks after ovulation (and i only use 10).

ThAnkyou yes I have read they require at least 10 sticks which is /seems a lot of money but like you a way to just know for sure things are erm working would be good Grin

It is reassuring to know everything is behaving itself. But I suspect now I have established that I should get rid of the machine. It is just a hoop i am jumping through monthly that will not, in itself, get me pregnant. but it is strangely comforting for now too. (conflicted).
My SIL is making TTC noises, maybe I should reset it to factory settings and pass it on.
