Morning all, can I please ask for some advise/guidance.
Today I am 4 days late for my period (normally 28 day cycles) with negative pregnancy tests.
I am under a fertility specialist who had prescribed clomid as I tested infertile/no longer ovulating since my first child was born in 2010. I haven't been able to take my clomid for the past 4 mths as I've been unable to get an appointment with the fertility specialist to do a follicle tracking scan. Myself and husband have been very active in the bedroom as desperate for a 2nd child.

For the past 3 weeks I have had all the pregnancy symptoms from back ache to sensitive boobs but negative tests. I have been testing using the test stops (10miu) that you get off the net and then brought a supermarkets own test on Tuesday. Can't get a doctors appointment till next Thurs and specialist can't see me till 7th Feb!
ITS SENDING ME CRAZY!
Anyone out there had similar experiences? Just registered on here so I have no clue what the acronyms mean that are used - please be gentle ;-)
xx

Maisie did you take the clomid this cycle? It can make the luteal phase longer, therefore making you seem late unless you know when you ovulated

Hi, not taken clomid for 4 mths x

Such signs as you describe can be misleading; I would not retest as seeing repeated negatives can be heartbreaking.

Do you actually have a diagnosis of the underlying problem?. Ideally clomid should have been prescribed following a firm diagnosis as it is actually quite powerful stuff. Clomid's main job is to make the ovaries work harder.

I would be asking the specialist if it is possible for you to have regular monitoring; this should be done anyway if clomid is given to you as otherwise you have no way of knowing whether its working or not.

Hi, ive been taking clomid due to a massive infection, I had a routine coil fitted 3 years ago which went horribly wrong. The doctor sniped the neck of my cervix which caused a massive bleed which had to be quarterized causing a bad infection which then led to not ovulating anymore. I have monthly periods and was referred to the fertility specialist as 2 yrs of trying to get pregnant had failed.

I had the normal internal xrays done which showed up a cyst on my right ovary which dispersed its self after 2 mths, clomid was prescribed to help us once the cyst wad gone. I have so far only done 2x courses of clomid as a the specialist sees me a wk to 10 days after taking to do a folicle track. On both occasions my follicles weer responding well and ready to ovulate. I have been unable to take the clomid since Sept 2013 as its near impossible to get an appointment to have the folicle tracking done.
Since taking the clomid my cycle has been anywhere from 25 - 28 days so its very strange to be this late.
I conceived my daughter Maisie naturally but had gestational diabetes, SPD and preclampcia xx
