Conception

When's the best time to get pregnant? Use our interactive ovulation calculator to work out when you're most fertile and most likely to conceive.

Any advice really appreciated!

Hi all,

My partner has recently come off the pill, and we are starting to try for a baby. She is 27 and I am 28 both fairly fit and healthy and neither of us smoke and don't drink very often at all.

She has an app on her phone that predicts the best days to conceive, although I know it is very unlikely it will be this cycle as the most likely days has just finished and i'm guessing she will not ovulate.

We were both taking Spirulina as a health supplement up to now. However, I have read that it contains Vitiman A so I have told her to stop taking it.

I have bought some Folic Acid from Holland and Barrett. However, what I really want to know is if she should also be taking some vitamin supplement like Pregnacare by Vitabiotics or should she just be taking folic acid and that is it?

I would really appreciate any advice and support, as you can imagine, this is all new to us and the internet seems to provide conflicting evidence.

Darren
