Hello all

I am in my first month of ttc, all very exciting! I would like some advice though, here goes:

I had a 30 day cycle between January and February, a 33 day cycle between February and March, a 32 day cycle between March and April, a 37 day cycle between Aprl and May and a 28 day cycle between May and June. I therefore do not know when to test!

I thought I would go along the lines of my last cycle was 28 days so I would have been due on af last Sunday. I tested and it was a bfn. I then tested on Tuesday as still nothing and it was again a bfn. I have not tested again. Tests are a fortune!!! Still no af.

TMI here guys...I have been having really bad urges to go for a number 2 and is sooo painful i have to bend over! My boobs hurt (but could be to do with af) and I have been getting sharp pains in abdomen area. Do these systems mean anything or could it just be af?

Also If this month is not bfp then for next month when should I start carrying out the pee on a stick to see when ovulating thing?

Help please!

My advice on pg tests (although I do not always take my own advice) is...go for the longest cycle length before testing.

So don't test until you are on CD37 if you can bear it.

Otherwise you just think you've tested too early and keep on testing and then get disappointed and broke!!!

As far as ov wee sticks.....I used them for a few months and nothing happened. Then years later I found out that I ov later in cycle.
So my advice from what I learnt would be get to know your body and cervical mucus. Lots of clear stretchy muscus is the best indication of ov. and then the next month (if you're not pg by then!!) use the ov sticks around that same time to confirm.

I ended up one month using several packets of ov sticks from about CD8 - CD20. Expensive stuff this ttc.
Once I learnt a bit more about CM it got a bit cheaper!!

Thanks very much.

I know its only been a month but it has started taken over my life! I have read so many stories though on this site and makes me think just calm down you could have a long way off yet!

I keep thinking to myself, I wonder if I have a little baby inside me! Silly thinking like that really but it is easier said than done to not think like that.

I will not bother using the ov sticks yet then, if I can resist - at least I'll feel like I'm trying to find out!!!

If I wait until CD37, its only Tuesday so not to long!
