Hi

I would like to know if it is possible to get pregnant if I had sex a day after I finished my period???
I am not on any birth control and he didn't use a condom and finished off inside me (without telling me)

I've been told sperm can live inside the female body for 7 to 10 days by a doctor but on online forums it says sperm can live for up to 5 days

You could be pregnant, only way you will tell is with a test when af is next due.

It's not very likely but not impossible from what I've read/understood. Sperm usually live around five days and you usually ovulate about 14 days before your period. So if you have short cycles and long periods then maybe?

It might not be too late for the 'morning after' pill or even getting a coil. Might be worth a nurse or clinic visir just to be sure if it's not what you want xx

Ps no lecture but withdrawal isn't the safest way of preventing xx

Hello - it is possible but unlikely that you would get pregnant a day after the end of your period, this is because you period comes due to an unfertilised egg being released. Most women ovulate and release an egg in the middle of their menstrual cycle and you just started your new cycle so I very much doubt you are pregnant. If you are worried you can always take the morning after pill up to 72 hours after unprotected sex.
