Strange spotting for two weeks.....threatened miscarriage...pls help/advise

As above.....doc informed I have an HCG reading of 21 and to take another blood test to see if I am pregnant or not. Anyone know what these levels mean? Thanks.

these levels mean you are either very freshly preg, or you have lost it - if you have had bfp already severald ays ago. if you just fell pg 10 days ago, it might be realistic to hope a viable pregnancy out of it. Otherwise, probably not. Sorry about my pessimism, but 21 is really low reading for anything more than 10 dpo

tigger8 I really hope that it's good news for you. But if the worst dies happen there is a wonderfully supportive miscarriage talk board section on here. It very much helped me at that difficult time.

A HCG of 21 would be what you would expect to find at around 4 weeks pregnant or a little less, so if you are further along than that, it might not be good news. I agree that the miscarriage boards on here (in the Body and Soul topic) can be a great source of support. I hope it works out for you.
