I have been to the doctor as have a throat and ear infection and they have given me antibiotics penicillin tablets calls PHENOXYMETHYLPENICILLIN
250mg Tablets. I have spent alot of money to start using the clearblue fertility monitor this month. I didnt even think to ask the doctor if its ok to take these when TTC, it says on the leaflet
Check with your doctor before taking these tablets if:
• you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or you are breast feeding. (This medicine is passed into breast milk and may cause
an allergic reaction in your baby
it also says Pregnancy and breast feeding: Check with your doctor before taking this medicine if you are pregnant, think you may be pregnant or you are breast feeding. This medicine is passed into breast milk and may cause an allergic reaction in your baby.

what should we do?

Depends how long you need to take them for. If it's only a week or two then crack on with ttc because the baby won't share a blood supply with you until the placenta starts to form. It doesn't fully take over for several weeks so you should be ok.

If you need to be on them for many months then is talk to your dr about your options.

I've just finished a course of the same antibiotic. Same dose and length too. I did check with the doc before he issued it as I'm also on metformin and clomid but he said that there was no issue taking the penicillin whilst ttc.

Hope this helps Smile

If it's 10 days you are fine. Even if you fertilised an egg tonight it won't even have implanted in your womb for 10 days. So you can do it no harm whatsoever. Good luck!!
