hi all,

i came off the minipill 3 weeks ago as dh and i decided to ttc. i was only on the minipill for 2 months (was on combined previously for about 6 years) and had no periods when on minipill, which i realise now is quite normal.

anyway, a week ago i started getting OV pains and then had one day with lots of ewcm (nice to see it again as it had been so long - sorry if that is tmi!) anyway, husband and i did the deed that night...

past few days i've been feeling queasy and have really sore boobs - i know this could be af on it's way, or all in my head as it is so early on! anyway, am planning to test this saturday (which will be a week and a half after OV). do you think this is too soon? I am DYING to test, and would do now if sense wasn't stopping me! I would wait to see if af is late but as this is my first pill free cycle not sure when she's due...(was totally regular all those years ago think 28 days). be great to hear your thoughts! xxx

hi glittercaz- it'sposs/prob that 1 week after ov may be too soon and then there's all that disappointment and is it a false neg stuff to endure. My doctor told me10- 14 days after ov is usually ok....what do you think? Not much help- I bought 10 tests off e bay and there's one left now!!!!

Hi glittercaz,

I'd recommend waiting until at least 4 days before your period is due (about 11 days after Ov). There will simply not be enough hormone around before then if you are pregnant and if you can wait a couple more days the results will be much more accurate (and you will probably save money!)
