Ladies, Fred title says it all; we are the ones who shag as much as our men can cope with in order to get upduffed without the stress of scientific whatnots!

Fred rules (copied from previous Fred)

  1. Thou shalt shag as much as humanly possible in order to get upduffed.
  2. Thou shalt not partake of OPKs, temping, or charting.
  3. Thou shalt keep symptom spotting to a minimum.
  4. Thou shalt share with your fredmates where needed.

JSing lingo

ERTD = Evil Red Tide of Dooooooommmmmmm. Or AF to most others.

Viroid = This is you, dear poster. This is from the first JS thread when someone tried to type 'ladies' and it autocorrected to 'Viroids' - so there you go!

Pant snot = Egg white cervical mucus.

Doing a kitten = Getting upduffed soon after joining (warning: may induce envy in other posters).

POAS = Pee On A Stick (of the pregnancy detecting kind, not from a tree). Also known as PIAR (Pee In A Ramekin - cos we're posh birds innit). Or PIATLH (Tea light holder) PIAWG (Wine glass) or anything else you care to pee in!

Shagging like something = JSing like a teenage nymphomaniac.

Giving a hooya = Giving a much needed slap to a fellow poster in danger of slipping into ttc obsession.

Contraband = Of COURSE none of us EVER partake of any silly OPKs or temp charting. They are Contraband.

Icing = ovulating. Another autocorrect development!

Getting your Cape on = planning some serious pouncing on DH/DP

TWOT - Two Weeks of Torture!

I still use the water thread.. it's really inspired me!

Red I'm really jealous of your snow!! We have shitty winters here just cold and rainy, I'd love a good cold snap!

Minion and beetle positive mental attitudes Viroids.. hope it's not getting you down too much. It's a big pile of shit getting stressed out every month, hoping, feeling let down, picking yourself up..and repeat.

I had an argument with DP last night - he's been really good, we've managed to JS every night since ERTD buggered off, UNTIL last night when it really mattered, as it's my most likely icing day. DP was awake when I followed him up to bed, but by the time I had brushed my teeth and squeezed my spots he'd bloody well turned off the light and gone to sleep...

Cue Ov rage - yes, I do get moody at this time of the month, definitely - I woke him up and told him off. I said he can't possibly know the pressure that I feel each month when it doesn't work. He said "What pressure" ...Angry . He eventually conceded and agreed to JS me.

OOOh the romance ladies! Once upon a time, Dp would feel privileged to be in bed with me haha and now I have to order him to do the job or else! He's looking forward to next week when he'll get a break from having to shag me! Who knew ttc would KILL the romance dead eh!

Rant over. Can I bounce in the pity bouncy castle now?

Redshoes56 · 22/01/2014 21:03

The pity bounce castle is going to explode with all of us in there. Grin TTC can totally kill the romance. I am almost grateful for the fertility treatments because now sex is for fun again. There's less of it, much to his dismay (I'm tired after work, dammit), but it is not fraught with stress.

mrsb87 · 22/01/2014 21:23

Ah cosy that really made me chuckle! Bless them, I had a similar issue with dh, he was finding a job at work really stressful so wasn't that interested in dtd. I rolled over and gave up....and suddenly he was up for it! Funny that.
This time a month ago I was stressed out with work (christmas in fashion retail is a right b*h) and he was the one pestering me and I told him to bugger off, lol.

beetlehope · 22/01/2014 21:26

I get the ov rage minion! My DH falls asleep all the time. Ps who has snow ? And where ? Had lovely long walk from green park to Victoria thanks to no trains but at least cheered me up seeing crazy oriental girl dressed entirely in Union Jack prints with blue sequin shoes staring up at the palace longingly ! Bless her!

Bearfacedchic · 22/01/2014 21:40

Hurrah for the BFP MrsB!

Hi to the newbies!

Just wanted to say hi. I'm ill too, but hot to keep going til tomorrow at least. Feeling a bit more positive than a few days ago as well. Can't shag though as I'm ill. I wouldn't shag me. . .

Grrrr for the company monkeys Red. Hope it all gets going for you soon. Yay? for the snow though. I guess it could be yay or nay depending on how you feel about it and what you need to do.

Bearfacedchic · 22/01/2014 22:10

Okay I just counted and we did it 5 times in my icing week! Count 'em! 5! Feeling very pleased with myself!

Redshoes56 · 22/01/2014 23:12

beetle I've got all the snow, here in the States. It's beautiful but a real pain to clean up. And I'm feeling stir-crazy stuck in the house. Actually looking forward to going back to the office tomorrow.

bear glad you are feeling cheery and getting busy! Woo hoo for 5 times! I am cheering on those swimmers. Go, go, go.

lil1ady · 23/01/2014 00:26

go bear! good effort! fx it pays off!

beetlehope · 23/01/2014 06:18

Go bear!

Ah I see red shoes , I stupidly didn't think it would be outside the uk. I like snow , if we get even a tiny amount everything stops and we get to stay home from work !

Minion · 23/01/2014 08:35

Yes reds our sister from across the pond, in NJ yo!
(Sorry) I love the north eastern US accents, I spent a whole flight doing it once to cancun, typically we had someone from boston on... And then I had to lie through my teeth about my upbringing...

When I used to work at a well know communications and cable tv company I'd take inbound calls from areas in wales, Scotland and parts of England and I'd immediately slip into welsh or Scottish too...
I'm a disgrace!

Yes I'm still drinking my water, last week I was a bit JC and turned water into wine but hey, it's all fluids right? So I got home and got back on it.
Naughty minion.
Must try harder.

2nd driving lesson today and it's lashing it down. So that's nice.....

beetlehope · 23/01/2014 09:50

I was wondering what we all did for a living? The reason I wondered was when someone's doctor commented on their being cabin crew (sorry can't remember who and scrolling is slow as have no signal!) does that mean certain jobs and less likely to get pg? I know dentists are most likely to commit suicide but come on!

cookielove · 23/01/2014 09:51

Hello hello hello :)

Nothing reallyport from me just lurking! Stuck at home cause I pulled a muscle in my neck yesterday and can't drive (ow) putting my hair in a bun

Bear fx you get your bfp, I have everything crossed in fact!

minion if you live in England you gotta get use to driving in the rain Smile and these things are best done with an instructor in the car. Good luck.

red sorry to here that things are slow moving over there :(

Minion · 23/01/2014 10:18

beetle yes it's me who flies , hostie with the mostie! tart with a cart! dragon with a wagon whatever it's called nowadays,
And yep it's apparently more difficult as those perfect 24 hours each month when all the stars are aligned, pigs flying at night over a frozen hell and unicorns once again dance gaily around the knights of the round table, I'm stuck in some god awful Caribbean hole and he's at home watching silent witness.
Though I say it's harder, one of my most loveliest of friends has just announced her 2nd, thankfully I'm truly so happy for her, she makes beautiful babies too lucky mare xxx

Minion · 23/01/2014 10:18

cookie yessss the suns out. No aqua plaining for the minion!

cookielove · 23/01/2014 10:23

Minion - I have a work colleague who has been driving for 20 years and I had to explain to her what aqua planning was. I could not understand how she didn't know!! Glad you don't have to yay! ! It scares the poop out of me each time!

CosyTeaBags · 23/01/2014 10:33

Viroids I'm almost all JSed out.... we've managed to DTD every night since Day 7 of my cycle, and I'm on Day 15 now..!! Fair play to DP!

One thing I wanted to report was that drinking lots more water thanks Lil! has really increased my CM - I've had fertile CM for much longer than I usually do, and plenty of it. So get glugging ladies, it really does help.

Minion I loved your story about faking a NE US accent, brilliant. Good luck with the driving, and consider yourself lucky you don't have my old driving instructor whose tried and trusted method was to place his hand on your knee whenever he felt like groping an 18 year old wanted to encourage you to brake.

Hope MrsB is feeling ok, and I wonder if you can regale us with stories of your symptoms so that we know what to obsess look out for ourselves..!

beetlehope · 23/01/2014 10:55

Ah I see minion and there was me thinking he meant altitude played havoc with your eggs!!!!
It's not just flying - I work in HO for a retail co in a creative job - and every time I should be jsing they send me to Amsterdam! X
Cosy I never drink enough I think I better start and I know tea doesn't count or I'd be be like a snail !!!

DulcetMoans · 23/01/2014 11:07

Beetle - I read somewhere that shift workers struggle to conceive because of irregular hours with partners.

minion - defo better to learn to drive in the rain with an instructor. You'll do plenty of it when you pass!

Five times is pretty amazing bear, you've given it all your best for sure.

Fertility clinic today... Feeling a bit nervous but positive.

JuniperDoesWhatZitaSays · 23/01/2014 11:33

good luck dulcet!

minion you are cracking me up today! Might print off the think abt pigs flying over a frozen hell for the fridge.

Am mainly fed up of periods and wanker colleagues. Dr and smear all booked tho, do I get a gold star?

Saznut · 23/01/2014 12:32

contraband alert - does anyone use cbfm? day 7, first test stick, came out a high. didn't expect it this early, tho I have been taking loads of stuff this month. will get cape on tonight anyway just in case.

so sorry gor everyone who is feeling down, although reading today looks a bit happier, plis sun is shining today so thats good. poor dh has his first ttc wobble yesterday, his friend whis wife is due in Feb was really rude about how he's got one and one on way when we haven't and it really upset him. I guess it's not just us ladies who care. plus 25 months is a fair old time. This month will be the one lol.

Bearfacedchic · 23/01/2014 13:40

Ha ha Minion!

Good luck Dulcet. Take a book. When we want they had the tv on and there was some ridiculous daytime soap on and an episode where a woman had miscarried. Gotta live the tactlessness of some people.

Bearfacedchic · 23/01/2014 13:41

*when we went

*gotta love

Typing in a hurry as always!

Bearfacedchic · 23/01/2014 13:42

Poor DH Saznut, Sad

ZingSweetApple · 23/01/2014 13:44

Saznut

poor MrSaznut Sad
can I trhrow some baby glitter on him too?Wink

JuniperDoesWhatZitaSays · 23/01/2014 13:47

hey saznut, how rude of your DH's "friend".

I use CBFM, there's a users groups somewhere down the list. The first month can be a bit screwy but stick with it, best to JS alongside, imo. You may get all highs for this cycle which is just the machine calibrating to your hormones.

We've decided to half try this month, probably JS when we feel like it. It's stopping us doing too many things. Well, going running which my DH desperately wants me to start again, probably because I'm getting a bit lardy! Charming man. Anyone in the TWOT at the moment? Can't keep track!
