First +ive ovulation test

For the first time yesterday I got a positive ovulation test. Me and hubby tried on Sunday night and then +I've test last night - going to try again tonight but I'm worried we will have missed it - anyone got any experience of ovulation tests and whether a positive means it's too late or prime time???

The tests detect the surge that happens BEFORE ovulation occurs. Usually 24-48 hours before ov. And sperm can live for several days. In fact, it's better to have them in there ready before hand as the swim is long! You don't need to be spot on the the minute with dtd to catch ov.

Positive OPK means you are about to ovulate (24-36hrs avg) so you are unlikely to have missed it and it is perfect timing to get going DTD and keep going for a few days just to make sure you catch it .

Thanks for the replies!!!! Hubby seems to be finding the DTD on demand a but intimidating!!!! Will just have to hope and see what happens!!
