I had a laparoscopy in sept due to ectopic and had my tube removed, I had my first proper period and the end of oct but haven't had anything since so I am roughly 4 wks late (def not pregnant!!) has anyone else experienced this? Don't know if it's normal or not so don't know if it's worth going to docs! I want to start trying soon for another baby but obviously can't til my periods are back to normal, wud just like to know how long it takes! X

Hi Lily,
From what I've been told by my FC, it may take a few months for your cycle to regulate again after an ectopic. I had mine in November and it was managed without surgery (although I had to have a laparoscopy five years ago on my right tube) so I was lucky in that I still have it. I hadn't had a period for six weeks and I went to my first session on acupunture before Christmas and got it that very same day!
Hope you're ok. Ectopics are a nightmare and I'm still getting over mine on an emotional level.
