So it's my first cycle of ttc number 3. I'm only 2dpo but I'm so, so impatient! Grin

Anyone else entering the 2ww madness? X

Exciting glitter !

Guess what I just found out... The wee cheapie strips I buy from asda a pack of 2 for £1 are sensitivity 20, and the clear view double pack at £9.99 for two is sensitivity 25 !! That means the are less sens doesn't it ? Ohhh the poas rage lol

My af is due fri 10th so I guess I'm due my BFP 11th/12th ? X

Oh well starchildmum...he, he! Grin

I've never actually had to wait until the day of af for my BFP in any of my other three pregnancies...I've always had a line 6 days before af was due. I'm just trying to tell myself that it could always be different this time though. Fingers crossed indeed Thanks

I've had so many symptoms over the last seven cycles that I really don't believe any of them. For done reason I have started cramping in the 2ww the last two cycles. No idea why, but again it's led to nothing positive!!

I am 6dpo and off out to soft play this afternoon with my mum Grin

Morning ladies! Welcome to newcomers too. Thanks for starting to chart our poas day starchildmum.

I'm just constipated (sorry if tmi) Drinking loads so hoping it's a sign. I've been mega constipated in both my last pregnancies. Also my nipples look slightly a different shape and had a bit of yellowy cm. This is likely all just pre menstrual signs but a girl has to hope! Like you Polythene girl, my husband is a super realist about these things but he is not the one who goes through a roller coaster of emotions each cycle!!

Congrats Glitter!! Let's hope those bfps keep coming xx

Hi Everyone waves I'm new here, not sure of all the abbreviations that are used so please be patient with me :0) my partner an I have been trying for only 3 months, I'm 9 dpo and feeling sick, bloated, boobs are gonna explode, exhausted, got a cold, extremely emotional (to the point of crying or wanting to slap random strangers!) I had some odd sharp poking pains in low right of stomach this morning and I feel pregnant but don't trust my instincts as my last child is now 14 so I can't really remember how I felt with the beginning of pregnancy! :0/ sooo in just gonna leave this post here and wish you all luck with your waiting. Personally the waiting is driving me to distractions like housework an that's never good ;0) lol

Welcome Fernellahalls, you are also very welcome. I say don't trust those symptoms until you see your first positive test, not being mean but it can just be so disappointing otherwise! Good luck to you!

A few abbreviations:

Poas - pee on a stick
Ttc - trying to conceive
2ww - two week wait
Af or also witch - period
DH / DP - hubby or partner
DC / DCs - child / children
DD - daughter
DS - son

I'm quite new to MN so if anyone can expand on any others that's cool.

Feel quite sick, just poas as I felt quite sick any caved in. No self discipline. There is a super, super faint line!!!

Glad to see someone already getting some results!

I'm now 6/7 dpo and my breasts feel heavy and achy. Not painful or some just... Ache. DH said he didn't notice anything until he weighed them in his palms and said 'bloody heck!'. Some more mild cramping and going to the toilet more often, but I'm still not getting my hopes up. After 2 years there isn't much hope left anyway.

DH woke up this morning and told me he had a dream where I announced a pregnancy by placing a pair of blue booties on the mantelpiece. He kept telling dream me that it wasn't real to which dream me replied 'who dreams about this?!' He then had the same dream 2 more times in the night.

I'm not superstitious although he is. If nothing else it's given me an awesome plan for the announcement if there is one and mess with his head at the same time. Because we're loving like that ;)

wow! you girls are really good and organised about the symptom spotting. i have had a few cramps in-between my hips but nothing else so far. been a bit narky but to be honest, thats normal. I am due on 13th January so 4 days before my missed period. I'm not sure i can handle the disappointment of testing though. when should i test? is it better to wait, i don't want to waste money of the test isn't going to be accurate yet.

Hi all, congrats to those with BFP! I'm 95% new around here and on first cycle of ttc. Just beginning my 2ww now, sure I ov'd yesterday, but that's to be confirmed with another stick later.
How soon do you guys test for BFP? I was 2 weeks late for AF with my first before I got the faintest of lines!!! I thought it was never going to come.

sometimebrunette.
Dont test today. If you have lots of spare money you can buy a high quality first response test. Otherwise wait and test on the day your period is due/missed.

I have spend a fortune with my first. Stated testing 5,4,3 days before and then had a faint line, tested again another faint line, tested 2 days before a big line. And a lot of cycles before in a similar pattern.

Its addictive and so pointless. If you can be a bit more patient, be patient and test at the right time otherwise you will go nuts like me.

Tested today and I am not due for another 6 days..... I knew it was negative.... sorry very nutty.

My understanding is evap lines tend to be grey or translucent. If it's pink I would say it's most likely positive. Wait until you get a nice strong line though until you start telling people (I made the mistake of telling my mother I was pregnant based on a faint false positive) I felt devastated when AF showed up hours later.

Sometimesbrunette · 09/01/2014 17:40

star child mum- i did a first response test today. my boobs were heavier (my other half commented) so i thought id test. it was an indulgent purchase, going to be getting somme pound land tests for the next
cycle. may do another test if AF doesn't turn up. I think I will be just as nutty.

To make it worse, i broke down on the way home from boots. 300 years from my house. waiting for the AA decided to post on Facebook and a friend with 3 kids commented on my status 'try it when you have 3 screaming kids in the car!'. Bit insensitive when she knows I've had a MC and am trying again. oh well.

congratulations to everyone with BFPs!
