Womb lining and ovulation

I just had a pelvic scan (non-fertility related) and they told me that my ovaries looked great and I should ovulate in the next few days.

However I saw my womb lining and it looked pretty thin.

Is it possible to ovulate (naturally) and yet still have a womb lining that's too thin? I thought the growing follicles controlled the lining thickness (so you wouldn't ovulate until it was ready) - is this right?

Forget it - just found the answer to my own question.
