False positive? Help!!

Hello!
My period was due today, and I got a BFP yesterday with a first response.
I tested again this am first thing but the line was less strong.
I tested again this afternoon and the line was even weaker.
Could I be "loosing" this pregnancy?
Has this happened to anyone?
Please note that the first time I tested, I actually collected my urine in a container and dipped the stick in it, whilst the other times I just poas.
Sorry if it is tmi.
I also tested with amazon cheapies and those are all negative.
I have decided not to freak out and stay calm but would love your opinion on this.

I got my BFP one afternoon with a CB (non digital) and a FRER, I was ecstatic!!

I tested the next morning with FMU the supposedly gold standard of wee and my results were negative!! I only had I.C in the house but all 3 I tested with all came back as a BFN. I was so upset. I sent my DH out to get some 'real' HPT's later that afternoon and they showed BFP again.

You are doing the right thing to stay calm - different tests have different sensitivities etc and in the very early stages the dilution of your urine can make a difference to the results.

Do you have more tests so you can try again tomorrow morning?? I always preferred to drop tests than wee on them - rightly or wrongly I always thought there was less chance of an error or dodgy result if I dipped in a controlled manner as opposed to wee going all over the stick

I do have another FRER for tomorrow am, and I came to the same conclusion as you did, ie to drop the test in rather than pee on it.
I will take another one tomorrow am and put an update here.
So I take it that the pregnancy you mention here worked out well?

I used to love peering on sticks!! I was doing it for months just because I liked seeing the 2nd line appearing. I didn't stop until I'd had my 12 week scan I was a bit crazy!!

Oh Cherie You don't know that for definite though. Just see how things progress over the next few days and if you continue to get fainter tests but you font start bleeding then go and see your GP x

I read stories online about tests getting fainter but still with a happy ending so I am going to try and stay positive :-)

I just wanted to put an update here.

So the line got fainter and fainter and is almost completely gone now.

I guess I had a chemical pregnancy. Waiting for AF now.

Had 3 m/c in the past and seeing Dr Raj Rai (lindo wing) this week so hopefully I will get some answers.

I will put an update after I see him.

I'm sorry to hear this and I hope some good comes from seeing the a Doctor. Hopefully there is an issue that can easily be overcome and your next pregnancy will be a happy and healthy one

AF/early mc did come yesterday
So basically AF was late 5 days, a little disapointing but at least it didn't take me ages to bleed.
Looking forward to my apppointment on Wednesday but I have to say I have lost hope. Somehow I don't feel like I am going to be able to be pregnant again and hold it...
