Bah! Why do I feel so frustrated just waiting for a positive OPK???!! While everyone seems to be pregnancy symptom spotting - I am ovulation symptom spotting. On CD15 and my tummy is rock hard (only way to describe it) and had dizzy spells yesterday and day before but still no positive OPK. I thought the line was a little darker but it could be my mind going mad. How do you all cope with this

Evening everyone! Big waves. I've had a lovely day out of the the office for a girlie shop in the sales. Much nicer than yesterday. And yup! I'm gonna be getting messy this evening and all week til I leave for business and then DP will have to come back and tidy!

Kitty, I'm on CD 16 and according to the internet cheapy OPKs still nada.

Just DTD anyway, DH has no idea about cycles etc and I've no intention of telling him got to keep practising!

Last cycle was 50 days, so I'm just hoping to chance it, or that the OPKs have got it wrong.

Anyone who is using them, if we DTD e.g. Yesterday, then the strips say I ovulate e.g. Tomorrow, is that good timing? I'm confused. It seems that if you DTD on the exact day of ovulation you might already be too late? It's best to have some sperm 'lurking' ready?!

Ooh and in other news, no AF as yet, but I have the weird pulling cramps which made me panic all day that it had started (knicker checking galore)...but nothing as yet. I know it's dumb, but I firmly believe you're not out, til you're out.

P.S. yesterday was meant to be the most depressing day of the year...I read it in a few places and thought - pah, what nonsense...then I realised how miserable I was yesterday. Ttoday, I'm bright as anything. (altho I think that's down to DP buggering off and not annoying me and having a lovely day out away from work)

Hey, just back from date night (early film!) and not read back all tonights posts yet but Lacey I just saw yours.

I hope I'm not being insensitive saying what I'm about to and I obviously hope I'm wrong, but what you have described is exactly what happened to me on the November bus when I had my first chemical pregnancy. I had a very heavy period at the end of October. As soon as it finished I started using the ic opks as I always do and to my surprise i got a dark line straight away. Didnt think anything of it as I'd just had my 'period' so I just thought I was ovulating really early so we just cracked on with dtd. After 4 days it was still really really dark and I'd felt ill that morning so I just took an ic preg test and it was positive. I'd already had the mc but the hormone was pretty strong and still there.

Obviously as choccy said there are people who have heavy implantation bleeds and I really hope that's the case with you, but I'd go and see your gp asap and get a blood test.

Sorry if that all seems a bit doom and gloom, I'm honestly not trying to put a downer on your bfp, but what you described was so similar to my experience that I just wanted to let you know its a possibility. I really hope you have better luck than I did and you have yourself a sticky bean. Good luck

RetroHippy-glad I'm not the only one! Have decided to do the SMEP plan this month after last month wasn't successful and following its steps so currently SWI every other day anyway. Just suddenly scared in case I don't actually ovulate. Irrational I know!

Thanks sazzle sounds good, I'm into complimentary therapies etc so may be something to consider. Always live a foot massage if nothing else!

Kittyvon I didn't get much luck with the OPKs either and no symptoms :( not like some ladies get, only increased watery/creamy cm. Frustrating isn't it. We just dtd most nights, but there is always a little worry that do I actually ovulate if I can't seem to her specific symptoms!!

Oh, and I am using the Boots own brand OPK sticks currently and worried they are not as ClearBlue. Oh well, more Christmas chocolate for me methinks...

Sorry if this is too much information, but it has occurred to me that I am rubbish at peeing on a stick, as well. I seem to be very messy, so to speak and struggle to aim well. What's the secret??!!

For HPTs...I@ve run out and have told DP I'm just gonna get FR ones from now on. I had 20 (whatever the hormone is) sensitive ones and I don't think they are sensitive enough for our tyoe of early testing...eeek.

In my last pregnancy I had to do almost weekly samples for my diabetes and they gave me a sample bottle with a funnel. Genius bit of kit. Don't forget to sterilise your p-pots!
