Hi all

Newbie here, my husband and I have been together for 15 yrs. We got married and all has been brilliant. He always wanted children and now we're in a position financially and professionally were having problems. I came off the pill last Feb cycles are pretty much 32 days. Was surprised they settled down so quickly. So far not a sausage in terms of conception. We've been tracking cycles, temperatures, diet, and taking preconception vitamins and minerals. We have until March before our doctors appointment to do things ourselves, starting to worry that it's not going to happen. I'm going to be 35 next birthday, we are both university educated and have very good jobs. Can't help thinking we've left it too late.

Hi patch, welcome. Try not to fret (easier said than done). You haven't left it too late, you'll find plenty on here who have conceived when older than you.

I was in a similar position to you, been with DH for an age, came off the pill after 15 yrs and got pregnant straightaway age 35. Now 2 yrs on and TTC #2, not happened yet but still early days.

Just try and enjoy the trying for now and consider using some opks if you haven't already.

Good luck.

Hi patch. Try not to worry - loads of us in the same boat and it's nothing you've done! I'm 30 DH is 42. We started trying in dec 2013 and like you, nothing!

You've come to the right place for support though. If there's anything specific you want to a ask loads of people are happy to help.

Incidentally have you been to your gp already and have a fertility specialist appt in March? The reason I ask as I did the gp thing in July; had 21 day test; DH. Tested and my referral made BUT it then takes six months for that appt to come through. So, if you haven't gp-ed it yet, I'd go ASAP. Sorry if I'm misunderstood and you've Already been.

Good luck!

Thank you for replying much appreciated. Hopefully something will happen soon. I think the doctor starts the tests not sure what else happens. The practice nurse booked the app
